I tried to watch this series a long time ago. I just couldn't. I can't take Star Wars seriously animated.

That was the best lightsaber duel in the entire saga, and then The Rise of Skywalker had shit scenes with drunken actresses swinging lightsaber clubs at each other..... View Quote Obi Wan starts out on his normal Soresu stance then switches to Qui Gons Ataru stance and knows Maul will fall for it which he does, it's the same exact sequence that Maul used to kill Jinn except Obi Wan is a much better duelist and when Maul tries the hilt to the face move like he did with Jinn Obi Wan splits his chest open, it's only like 3 moves but it's so poetic and perfect. Obi Wan was very un-Jedi like as it pretty much amounted to revenge the way he did it. |

It also shows the progression of Anakin > Vader better than the movies, he's not whiny in these and there are moments of him just being brutal. |

So we know that bomb goes off sooner or later.... as in Rebels that place is mostly asteroids.

Years later was looking for something on Netflix, told myself lets just power through it and see if I can watch it. If you can make it through the first few episodes and season 1 oh man it's awesome. I remember watching it one time and after a scene had passed I said hey wait a minute. They're actually killing people in this thing IMO you've got to watch TCW in order to really understand Anakin, it makes Ep3 much more understandable |

Episode 4 has been the strongest episode in Season 7. Anakin dispatching Admiral Trench was glorious (because I hate space spiders) and we get another glimpse of Anakin’s slide to the Dark Side.
I’ve enjoyed the Bad Batch characters and how they’re viewed by “Regs.” |

|
Agreed. If I had a complaint about this arc, it was that it didn’t really seem like a story that needed to be told in the final season of the show. Anakin showing his dark side tendencies is the biggest justification for this arc being here that I saw.

Quoted: You’re not wrong, but since the episodes were already done (mostly) it wouldn’t make sense from the studio’s perspective not to include it. Besides showcasing Anakin’s dark side tendencies, we also see Rex becoming more and more worn down by the war. By now most of his friends have been killed. Getting Echo back alive was good but the guy is still pretty fucked up. I’m confident that this last season will do a good job of tying up all the loose ends, even if we do get some filler episodes. It’s gotta happen soon. That plot line was established in Rebels and needs to show up. They also need to establish why Anakin/Vader was still pissed at Ahsoka for leaving him just before the events of Episode 3. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

In Rebels, Ahsoka goes to the Jedi temple on Lothal. While she’s there, the spirit of Anakin Skywalker speaks to her and asks her, “Ahsoka, why did you leave me? Where were you when I needed you?” It wouldn’t make sense for him to be talking about her leaving the Jedi Order because he sees her again afterward, and such a reaction wouldn’t make sense. He’s gotta be hurt and angry at her after the last time he saw her, which is immediately before Revenge of the Sith. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

That would make sense. And was that actually Anakin’s spirit? Or was it the Jedi temple just f’ing with her? When Ahsoka duels Vader in part 2 of Twighlight of the Apprentice, he’s full on berserker. It’s only the briefest moment when she breaks his mask open does he seem to recognize her. They might have some retconning to do to get this last season to work with Rebels and ROTS. |

Ahsoka tells Ezra that the last time she saw Anakin was when he was racing off to save the Chancellor, so just before ROTS. Meh, I didn’t get too strong of a vibe like that. Guess we will see.
I actually really liked this episode. It wasn't the big plot-moving entry like some of the later ones will be, but we get to see Ahsoka being vulnerable and feeling out of place and lost. This was more of a character development episode, which the Clone Wars has always been so good at. It makes sense that Ahsoka has trouble relating to people outside of the context of being a Jedi. It makes sense that she feels like she doesn't have a place in the world anymore. I'm looking forward to seeing how she grows from this experience and becomes closer to the Ahsoka we see in Rebels. |

I am glad to see other fans of the show on here! My wife (who had never seen it but who is a big Star Wars fan) and I (seen the series once before) just finished watching it and loved it. I am really excited and glad they decided to do a season 7 and finish off the series. I love everything about the show and would agree and argue it is one of the best Star Wars pieces in the Star Wars history.
I love how it delves into the Clone Wars and explains the background and development of the War. I also enjoy the seriousness and maturity of the show and how it shows the Clones as individual people with personalities. I am really excited for today's episode bringing Ahsoka back. She is by far one of the coolest Jedis and is way better than Rey and is much more talented. |

Trace may very well come on to Ahsoka but it remains to be seen where it goes from there. must....remain....optimistic. View Quote In the Ahsoka novel, they actually had one of the female characters come on to her, but Ahsoka rebuffed her advances. So it would make even less sense for her to give in to them now. |

Honestly I didn't like this episode and some of the dialog came off as cut scenes from a video game |

New episode is up. I liked it a lot more than the last one. This one had something approximating stakes I could get invested in.

It was good. It’s funny watching Rafa trying to figure out Ahsoka. Gotta think one of the sisters is going to die. The other one will probably blame Ahsoka for the death too.

The new episode is up. This arc continues to improve. Lots of good action and context for the Jedi Order’s failure to accomplish its mission.

I finally watched last weeks episode last night, to be honest, I’m not really feeling these Ashoka episodes at all. They really aren’t that good. They’re slow and boring and don’t really seem like they’re adding anything to the series. They just feel like filer episodes. The ones with Echo were much better and even beyond the first and last episode in that arc they too were kind of weak. What are we, 9 episodes in? I really hope it starts picking up at some point.

View Quote Ultimately, I think they made a mistake when it came to choosing the arcs they did. Neither arc we have seen so far has really done much to advance the overall plot towards its ultimate conclusion. The Ahsoka arc in particular has seemed like a waste of time, especially with introducing two new characters so late in the game that we don’t really need or care about. I’m sure Siege of Mandalore will be awesome, but I can’t help but feel like we have some missed opportunities in this final season. |

I watched the Ashoka arc today and give it a solid meh.
The 2 sisters are terrible and contrived. The episode with the droid that runs amok, that didn't draw any attention? And I find it laughable that they would be able to fare so well against the Pyke Syndicate even with Ashoka helping them. The 3 Mandos at the end was a nice hmmm moment, but overall, I'll be glad when this arc is done. It's almost as bad as the droids lost on the dust planet arc. |
