Favreau's live action series is "The Mandalorian"
"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic...." Wonder if it is Sabine and her search for Ezra? |

My interest is piqued. I hope it's not an SJW fest. I know with Filoni at the helm of it -it likely won't be, but that cunt Kennedy is still in charge so who knows how much power she currently has. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

With the set up of Sabine striking out to rescue Ezra it's the perfect set up for a feminist, SJW adventure of a lifetime Seriously, please don't screw up Ahsoka, I love her story |

Quoted: Well, we could’ve gotten something like what you described. We got Resistance instead. A show about an era people don’t care about, in an animation format that looks like Flash animation from 20 years ago, all designed for an audience younger than Rebels’s target demographic. And airing on Sundays at 10PM. It’s like they’re trying to make it fail. And the woman in charge of it all got her contract renewed for another 3 years. I love SW, but after TCW is over I’m done. View Quote You nailed it about looking like Flash animation and why they renewed her contract I don't have a clue. I'll probably watch Ep9 when I can bootleg it. I won't be going to the movies to see it. I went to see TFA and TLJ at the theater, fell asleep on TLJ and it was an afternoon viewing, tells how much it sucked |

That doesn’t look like Sabine.

With Ahsoka being Filoni's character I'd hope he wouldn't let them take her down the SJW road but who knows. That would ruin the arc that her character has traveled. However I did read that Pedro Pascal has been cast as the "central lead" so it's probably not going to be Sabine and Ahsoka and the hunt for Ezra. View Quote |

Filoni has got to be a busy man between helming TCW revival and breaking into live-action directing for the first time. I wonder if they are looking to see if he has what it takes to get promoted to the next level.
As far as Ahsoka and Sabine go, they may have a cameo role in a few episodes, which may also explain Filoni’s presence. Those are his characters and he seems pretty loathe to allowing anyone else to write for them. |

I need a new phone background. The Boba Fett one I've been using for the past few years is getting old.

Quoted: I think his greatest fear is that someone else will kill off Ahsoka. My theory is that is why she left the order at the end of that season of TCW...if she is not a Jedi then she will not be killed by the clones. View Quote |

Saw the first hour long episode of Resistance last night. Yes, it is a Y7 kid's show, and lots of liberty taken with the SW premise, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be based on the preview. If CW animation bothered you, this will give you a headache. Poe, Leah, Starkiller Base, Red Tie Fighters with hyperdrives , one reference to Phasma. http://www.jedinews.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/phasma-resistance-696.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae2Cxy8sswk View Quote Also, some TiEs did have hyperdrives, Vader's TiE had a hyperdrive. |

I thought it premiered on Sundays at like 9? When does it actually come on? I haven't set the DVR for it so if it aired last night then I missed it. Also, some TiEs did have hyperdrives, Vader's TiE had a hyperdrive. View Quote |

Set the DVR to record the series. Also recorded the episode that aired on Sunday. I was going to watch it then realized it was on after my daughter went to be so decided to wait to watch it with her. Besides, I was tired myself last night and went to bed shortly after 2100 myself.

Since it’s gonna be a while until TCW comes out, I changed the purpose of the thread to be a forum for discussing SW animated shows generally.

New TCW episodes will be 22 minutes long. I wish they were longer, but I guess that’s wishful thinking.
