IIRC, to recover bodies in lakes they used to fire cannons on the surface.
You need a trashcan and some tannerite |

Also don’t wait too long, it won’t be long for rust to set in.

40F is colder than I thought you would say. I might be tempted to dive for it once or twice in a pair of trunks since it's so shallow but that's probably not good advice, so don't.
Since it's so shallow and such a small body of water a pool skimmer as suggested is a good idea. |

What about an otter trained specifically in underwater search and recovery?

That sucks.
I forgot I loosened my surefire QD and sent another round through it once. Suppressor went about 50ft down range. Whoops |

Where in east texas? certified but i'd have to rent a tank and a couple wetsuits.

Were you guys practicing your beach landings in your rubber raft?

This was my thought as well. Like a water toy. Luckily it's in a narrow strip of the pond. Maybe 35ft across. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

they are looking in the wrong place. if it fell off when shot, it would act as a torpedo......and probably 10-15 meters farther out. might even be stuck in other bank depending on how wide said pond is. |

I hope it’s clay bottom but probably silty. If so, the magnetic portion in probably stuck in the silt.
Get a long ass pole and a bad ass magnet — one of those magnets that if you stuck it to tool cabinet it would be hard to remove. Attach that magnet to the pole jump in a Jon boat, kayak, whatever. Now do grids. The can did not fall straight down. It’s probably 10’ from where it went under. Good luck. |

It's easier to search the bottom for something like a suppressor or handgun if you can stay under. Easier to run a pattern. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If you were near me I would come and find it I have went down to 20 ft with just a mask and fins 8ft is easy I have scuba gear, but I lost my oalkys in 10 ft of water in destiny and found them with just my mask and fins. A pond would make scuba gear a must. |

The can is probably 10 to 15 out from where you think it is. Put on a mask and just jump in and grab it.

I free dove in near 20 feet of water near a dock for like 4 hours to find my buddies dropped sig.

Take another suppressor and duplicate your mistake. Have fins and mask ready to follow it down.

The pond doesn't seem too big, nor deep. I would think a weed rake of some kind with a basket would pull it up in just a few hours.

Where'd OP go? Too many questions left unanswered here.......
LOL |

Now where the fuck is he supposed to find a brodozer that can drive in 8’ of water?

40 degree water? Even with my 7mil semi-dry wetsuit, I'd be too chilled in 15 minutes. That's drysuit temperatures for a proper search.
Pay me to come down, and I'll give it my best. |

So...were y'all playing Swamp People or Seals when he lost it?
Just curious. |

OST.
You might want to set up an electrolysis tank when you recover it. |
