Add Leupold to that list.

The Leupold & Stevens PAC has given money to the likes of Susan Davis (D-CA) and Mark Udall (D-CO). Both have a long history of voting against your 2A rights. The treasurer of the Leupold & Stevens PAC is Leupold CFO Howard Werth.

Doug Howard was listed as the treasurer of the Surefire PAC. According to LinkedIn his role at Surefire was finance manager. If you look at the actual FEC filings it clearly shows the PAC even uses Surefire's address. There's no way they didn't know.

I can't remember if I said this in this thread or not, but if there is one thing that we've all learned from this controversy is:

POLITICIANS ARE CHEAP.

Seriously, look at how little money these people gave to politicians to get influence with them.  So if you want to boycott, by all means boycott, but do more than just boycott - go buy a politician.

For the price of a Hi Point you can influence how a politician votes - especially on the state level.

So find out who your state reps and senators are, go to their fundraisers, write a check for $100, shake their hand and have a picture taken with them, and then briefly talk to them about supporting gun rights citing specific bills currently pending without coming off like a nut.  Its easy.

I have several politicians who I will donate to during a campaign.  It puts me on the map in their world so when I send them an email about something they know who I am.  When we have our annual gun rights rally at the court house I'll pop in to their office and say hi and let them know I'm in town for the rally.

Take the money you're not spending on Surefire and Benchmade and whoever else and spend it on politicians you support.

@thanatos8541 is either purposefully ignoring the facts or is a blundering idiot.

Out of those that donated to the PAC, we have....

John Matthews - Founder of of Newport Corporation, which is now known as Surefire
Joel Smith - Chief Administrative Officer
Gustav Bonse - Chief Operating Officer
Sean Vo - Chief Financial Officer
Matthew Hemenez - Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Product Management
Jennifer Curlee - Director, Information Technology

The founder of the company, three chiefs, one vice president and one director.... all say @thanatos8541's account rep is more full of shit than a truck stop bathroom.

Very honestly without Uncle Sugar over paying for Surefire shit, the company would have failed long ago. Their share of the consumer market is miniscule which is largely the result of their resting on their laurels whe the Asian manufacturers produced brighter, more efficient and equally reliable lights that use a prolific and rechargeable power source.

I was an early adopter of Surefire and Benchmade both, but moved on as they failed to innovate while maintaining an unrealistic price point.

Why is everyone talking about chopping up their surefire gear? I swear, some of you guys are as bad as Benchmade!

SF already has your money. What is gained by destroying weapon components? You bought them in good faith, now you don't like SF, fine, don't buy anymore. But the cause of freedom is not helped by the destruction of military assets in the hands of free men.

She was a member of the House Armed Services Committee. They would have been stupid not to donate.
