I remember being in elementary school and getting a special pass to go to the "Robotics Lab" which was, of course, a Radio Shack Armatron.

1980 - Big Trak - Programmable Electric Toy I was HUGE into this back in the 80's. Loved the thing to death... found tons of cheats for it. I used to make coffee and tea for my parents and I programmed it to get into their room. Good times. |

I think the generational divide stuff is generally big fat gray lines. A lot of it is dependent on your family structure, regional factors, placement of birth order, etc.
For example, my parents are old as fuck. I'm the youngest of 3. Bro and sis are X'ers, and we were raised by 1st Gen Boomers in the south. We didn't have the internet until I was probably 16 or so, and I was 14 when we got a shitty used PC. My household was largely analog. I identify w/ X'ers way more than Millennials, despite being born a few years into Millennial status. On the other hand, my wife is a year older than me. Yeah, she was born closer to the X'er side, but she's the oldest of two. Grew up in a wired household that didn't want for shit, raised by the second gen of Boomers. She's a Millennial through and through. |
