That was one of the best games I've ever watched. I called it last week - low scoring, last minute to win, except I said it would be a field goal to win. How on earth the Huskers managed to beat Sparty, I'll never understand. MSU should do very will in January.

The Iowa offense isn't good enough to score that quickly Gotta play for the stop 1:55 to kick a game tying FG or 27 seconds to kick a game tying FG. I'd take the 1:55. YMMV. They only had 13 points in 58 minutes and were going to drive the field in less than 2 minutes? Or let your defense who had only given up 9 points in 58 minutes stop them 1 more time? Tough call Neither option is ideal, but you'd have 1:55 to pick up 40 yards on a defense that was playing to protect against the big play to give your kicker a shot. I like that better than counting on my defense to not give up 3 yards on 4 plays. Now if it was 1st and goal from the 10, that'd be a different story. |

I am soo happy that Clemson won the ACC championship.
UNC did get screwed on that on side kick penalty But this game should have never been close. Clemson beat UNC all night. The stupid penalties and mistakes killed Clemson. If they ever put together a perfect game, similar to the Miami game, then no one can beat them. I just wish it was the old Championship rules now, with no playofss. Then Clemson would be undefeated National Champs and I can stop taking blood pressure meds. |

Man, that was fun. Bring on the bowl games! Wisconsin is tied for Michigan at #5 in the B1G. Holiday Bowl seems likely. Against the #3 PAC12 team. Seems like a mismatch, but we'll give it a shot. See how badly the mediocre QB can screw up his last league football game ever.

Maybe there needs to be replay on penalties that involve a possible possession change and / or score. I don't want to see the game get bogged down with a ton of replays but there needs to be something done about penalities that can change the outcome of a game significantly like a turnover or score. This game and the Miami / Duke game come to mind where a reviewable penalty would have changed the outcome of 1 game for sure and possibly another. One was on a change of possession penalty and the other a possible penalty on a touchdown. Both major game changers. |
