TTU was able to pay for Ramirez's parents expenses to travel to NC while he was in the hospital.  Glad that ain't against the rules

Well it happens somewhat often, especially from disgruntled staffers.

ASU would be wise to try a different experiment next time

Yep, you'd be surprised how often that happens to coaches.

Fuck those staffers. They should all be fired, if true.

How could anyone trust them moving forward?  As a player, I wouldn't trust them to ensure my success as an individual or member of a team.  As an incoming coach, there's no way I would expect them not to do the same to me.

What a mess for their program.

Might as well.  ASU isn't going to have much success this year no matter who the coach is.

UGA “dynasty”
View Quote View All Quotes

Georgia won the National Championship last season and they are currently the favorites to win the National Championship this season. So, yeah, I think its reasonable to say "dynasty" is "the direction the program is heading in."  That's not to say they'll definitely be a dynasty.

Haven’t you heard of the James Madison University dynasty? They went to 3 title games, and combined with NDSU to win NINE CONSECUTIVE fcs titles.

To be fair, JMU did win 2 titles in this century.

Georgia can’t exactly claim the same.

Georgia won a D1 National Championship.  Not a "championship" won in some community college intramural league.

Should be a decent game. Kansas has a pretty good offense and Duke is coached by Mike Elko who is a defensive genius.

I say this as a lifelong Georgia fan and a season ticket holder, that chart is stupid.

Nick Saban's Alabama is easily the greatest dynasty in college football and arguably one of the greatest dynasties in all of sports.  Nobody is on the level with them.

Georgia is great right now and in position to compete for titles for the foreseeable future but they need to keep it up for a decade to start getting in the conversation with current Alabama.

Remember when Clemson had won 2 of 3 titles, and was favored to win another? Are they on track to be a dynasty today?

There is no such thing as “heading towards a dynasty.” Every team in every sport that has recently won a championship is heading towards a dynasty if you twist the definition enough.

I don't think anyone can catch up to Alabama, even a program as strong as UGA. There will be so much more national parity going forward due to NIL and the transfer portal. Bama's dominance won't be replicated.

Hahaha, parity...due to NIL and the Transfer Portal?!?

Do you realize NIL is just making things worse?  Because if a school/coach really NEEDS to fill a particular position and has the pockets, they will just get whatever they want now.

I know the intent behind these rules was to drive parity, but the SCOTUS rule on the NCAA being a monopoly neutered their ability to manage NIL in any uniformed way.  That means in this current setup, with the rules the way they currently are, NIL is driving DISparity that is exaggerated by the transfer portal.

Even the term free agency doesn't frame the problem effectively.  Because in free agency, you FIRST have to play through your contract.  You honor your initial commitment.  THEN you have the option to not renew that contract and become a free agent.

With the dumb ass way the NCAA structured the transfer portal, you can accept a scholarship/NIL deal, go to that school, and in your first year transfer out for a new scholarship/NIL deal.

Look at Quinn Ewers.  That's exactly what he did.
