Not gonna lie, if I was throwing and retrieving messenger lines that were tied to me on a bow with no guard rail, I'd be wearing a PFD too.
Note they are also tied off... Nothing ruins a launch like a drowning. Then again, that would be one less Red Chinese to worry about, right? |

What is stealthy about it, Grey paint?
I see nothing about that ship that will deflect radar from going right back to source. Edit life jackets are interesting. Look like child flotation aides wrapped in Orange material. Probably about 2$ from ebay |

I cant believe there are so many ignorant arfcommers posting here that STILL cant figure out this is a Taiwan vessel and Taiwan is allied with the US. Not even the same as China except in heritage.

Taiwan and the People's Republic of China are not the same country. |

I remember some Taiwan leader said that their military could hold out for a month, alone with no help, if China did an all out attack on them.

Also main land China has made threats to the sovereignty of Taiwan for decades and the US is treaty bound to Taiwan. And since mainland China is aggressively building her forces it is very understandable that Taiwan counters this. I am wondering who here is confused. |

That went over my head. Fill me in on the punch line. We have food and water. They don't. Take bets on who wins any troubles? Funny you should say that because I was recently in a conversation with an engineer that just returned from there and his opinion of China's environment was absolutely negative. Foul smelling place with darkness for daylight and you sure as hell better drink bottled water... I feel better already.... Good luck to the Taiwanese. I hope it's all that they think that it is. If it can kick Chinese ass I'm all for it.

Looking at the pics... I hope a Japanese whale hunting ship does not mistake that for a whale in the fog. They would kill it.

Old model CIWS, new model Oto Malera. Meh. I don't see where the missiles are launched from. Just from a quick read on wiki those Hsiung Feng missiles seem to be pretty hot shit. Do we have any supersonic anti ship missiles in our inventory? Our main target is the aircraft carrier," said the corvette’s captain Wang Te-chien. Meanwhile, Communist China has one aircraft carrier - with two more becoming operational in 2015. More info on new CV's? Google no help. Two carriers, no pics or info? The one they're trying to work up used to be the Riga/Varyag from the Russian Navy. PLAN bought it as a hulk in 1998 and have been refitting it to recommission it since..... Supposedly they have plans to build 2 more on the same design built completely by their yards. |
