Our Plt Sgt recommended the best place for the SS symbol was in the nostrils of a skull with the obligatory bullet through the forehead.
Then again, he also idolized the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS (who by the way, was comprised primarily of non-Aryan, non-Germans) and all of our packs ended up being spray painted variations of the dot 44 pattern. Here's the thing, specialized units will see bonds between themselves, and units and individuals that preformed the same job, and performed it well, reguardless of nationality, or being the "good" or "Bad" guys. Individual German snipers racked up hundreds of kills in WW2. Some individually got from 180-300 kills. (Of course, no ones closed in on Simo AFAIK, and the Russian snipers had obscene amounts of kills, but who wants to idolize them) so of course there is going to be a little envy and respect when it comes to German snipers, and one of the ways it's expressed is... SS runes on stuff. |

the way it was explained is that some units use that logo for scout sniper and the core values were similar |
