Really liked this episode and am looking forward to the next one.

Tonight's episode went a long way in making up for the past 6 episodes of homoerotic fagitude.

LOL man, they're in space, there's no up or down, does everyone have to line up nose-to-nose for a slugfest on a two dimensional plane? The Roosevelt might still be operational if the didn't park three feet away from the Orville and the entire Kaylon fleet.
I see the redshirts live! Or, rather, die! |

Tonight's episode was really, really bad. Jesus, there were so many plot holes, which, OK, it's not Star Trek, I get it, but there's no more comedy anymore to make up for it.
Don't have high hopes for it continuing on, and don't know if I really care either. We must team up with the Jem'Hadar to defeat the Borg. |

If he had shuttled back more than the one gun they could have ambushed them when they came through the door.
I figured Ed and Kelly would have some big emotional scene when she got back. Still a good episode. |

I thought last week's and this week's shows were really excellent, great sci-fi. Plot holes? Maybe, but still damn entertaining, and outstanding special effects. I love where the show is going. Having the Kaylons as the big bad makes a lot of sense. I don't think of them like the Borg because the Borg actually valued life forms for their diversity. The Kaylons are more like the Cylons. Even their names are similar.

Did no one notice that Halseys ship was the USS Spruance?
I really like that little tip on the hat towards two WW2 Admirals. |

Was anyone else a little disappointed that they DIDN'T give the new security chief the Tasha Yar treatment?

CBS announced in January they are moving ST:Discovery to... Thursday evening at 8:30, obviously as a direct challenge to The Orville.

Does no one have stand-off weapons in the future? But then again, neither does Star Trek. I'm thinking Masters of Orion 2's Stellar Converter here. |
