Thanks to the Labour Party, allied with Soviet Union and supported by KGB, who your boss worked for. Unbelievable what the Russians can do. BTW, wasn't the US allied with the UK at the time too? Pretty sure there was a close relationship there. And, correct me here if I'm wrong , but wasn't the UK in NATO and against USSR at the time? History is not my strength , as evidenced by the fact that I didn't know the Khazar Khanate was back. Meanwhile you're still praising Russia for nationalizing oil by then mentioning other far left or socialist counties did it too, which proves my point, scratch off exterior camo of modern Russian govt official, you'll find a commie hiding underneath. So, Norway and Mexico are "far left" countries too? When does the bombing of Mexico start? |

I love how you wont address how and why Putin re-nationlized oil. Or how you try to redirect by bring ing up two Euro monarchy welfare states, plus Mexico, who nationalized it under a socialist govt Meanwhile, those citing Pemex as some sort of attempt to excuse the behavior of modern Russia? Hilarious. Nobody is citing 1930s Mexico as the champion of conservative capitalism against a socialist horde. People in this thread, however, are trying to paint modern Russia that way. |

I see no indication of Russia doing this. Instead, Putin’s industry grabs are championed as expropriating from evil and antisocial private interests in the name of the Russian people. |

No, not my argument. Stop with the incessant strawman. The UK was wrong to nationalize industries. But this is about Russia. Nobody here has tried to champion 1970s UK as some beacon of hope. Try to stay focused. On the topic, that is, as opposed to your personal agenda. View Quote |

Not for a minute did I believe that once Russia recovered from their fall of 1989-1990 that they would not do their very best to impede US interests worldwide. Russia has funded, supported and worked to create social unrest in the US for decades. They have never been an ally, regardless of FDR's propaganda about "Uncle Joe." The US supplied the USSR with a shitload of weapons during WWII and they still took our air crews hostage and stole our bombers to reverse engineer. And the minute the war ended they were on us like the Japs and Hitler. If that is the kind of people they are as allies, it shows they have no honor and integrity at all. They have never been trustworthy and never will be trustworthy. I've been saying that here since I was on the old board in 1999 or 2000. Russia has never been an ally and never will be an ally. They will always be a rival at best and an enemy at worst. The seek our demise and will continue to weaken US influence any way they can. FUCK THE USSR and FUCK USSR VERSION 2!
