Millions of ARs in circulation in the hands of civilians and Sig introduces a new rifle and a new cartridge. Historically either of the two individually has been a problem.
It’ll fizzle and go away. The cost of that rifle is comical. For the record, I love Sigs. I don’t love how the MPX kind of disappeared after I bought two of them, and put out a second generation 10 minutes later, with parts and magazines being incompatible with the first. |

They really did screw the pooch, in their handling of the MPX. At least your lower is capable of using the "Gen 2" uppers, could be worse and have been different too. The SPEARs success will be determined on if it's adopted by the military. If it does, it's high ammo cost won't matter as much and it might come down with other companies jumping on board. Keep in mind, the ridiculous high cost of this one was for the "limited edition" crap and the silencer included. Time will tell on the price for the mass produced model. |
