well the trick was to take the smog shit off and throw it in a large pile.  then you put a 116gallon tank behind the cab. then you pulled the engine, kicked the fuck out of the compression and put a bunch of edelbrock goodies on it

that motherfucker could still outrun my '98 vortec 454 handily in 2000

last i heard the aluminum intake got a hole in it and they parked it.  if it's still around and i ever have the chance to buy it i damned certainly will.
