True story, My wife and I are vacationing in Ocracoke Island, NC. We're sitting in Howard's pub and looking at the menu. She points to the surf and turf and goes "mooo". She didn't see the fat lady to her side and slightly behind her. That woman looked over at us with the most hateful face.

Here is how this will become a huge issue.
Someone somewhere will bring up fat hate as a problem. A law will be made or court decision handed down protecting fat people in a feel good manner. A conservative assembly or figure, instead of just letting it go and ignoring it, will act contrary to the above. (Hilariously putting them on Michelle Obama's side in a way) It will then get thrown on to the national stage forcing the inevitable inclusiveness clause currently built into our modern society. So, my advice? Stop giving a fuck about this petty BS and it will go away. Groups of people are naturally contrary to their ideological opposite. This kind of stuff is quicksand. The more you fight it, the deeper you get sunk in. |

I personally don't partake in fat shaming people but you have to admit there must be a reason why our society of plenty defaults to looking down on someone who's very overweight.
Checks and balances. Just because you can eat as many calories as you want (food is so easy to get in our modern society) doesn't mean you should. Healthy people are much more successful. Ive gone up and down in weight a few times in my life and my mind is blown away how much more responsive people are to me when I'm in shape vs. out of shape. |

If you're obese, own it. You don't have a thyroid problem (although a friend did, got it fixed and is slim now), you have a lifestyle problem. I need to lose 30 lbs. I work out, run and KNOW I could lose the weight if I give up craft beers and eating as much as I do.
People in this country have massive calories available to them on a moment's notice. Sodas, candy, burritos--"everything, all the time", to hijack the Eagles song. Life in the fat lane. We are not designed to be 5'10" and 250+ lbs. It takes effort to maintain that weight. But it also takes effort to avoid a lifestyle that generates that weight. Most people choose to accept the weight. TC |

Not long ago, I was in a little town across the country, eating spaghetti scrap from an italian restaurant dumpster, no culinary arts degree to my name. But you know what, something happened that day that changed my life. I bumped into our lord and savior, the flying spaghetti monster, hallowed be his name. He showed me what he did to become a true pasta lord. Now this isn't a "get pasta quick scheme". I'm not promising you that tomorrow you're gonna go out and buy yourself some pasta linguini, but what I am telling you is, it can happen faster than you think if you know the proven steps.
