I must say I do not like the Mission Impossible series... formulmaic dogshit in IMO, I can't watch them, they're to boring... but I generally like his stuff... I actually really liked War of the Worlds, which I know many didn't care for. View Quote The tripods were amazing. |

I like some of his films but every time I have seen him talk about something he seemed like a total moron or he is high as a kite. I don't care what religion he believes in. That is his business.

he knows chicks dig fit men. He's what, 56yo?, and still more fit than 99% of American men. I'm not gay but I can respect a man who must work out and diet like a complete maniac because it's his livelihood on the line. "Mmmm.... oreo cookies.... shit, I'm still making movies, better have a stick of celery instead" is intense. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I like his movies but it seems like he has to have a scene in every damn movie where he is riding a motorcycle and he is shirtless. Not many actors would even have that choice. |

I don't know his politics and that is a good thing. View Quote There's a ton of actors today that...hate to admit it...are damned fine actors, but their screwball, loud, politics absolutely suck. I'm sure Cruise has his political leanings, but I truly respect that he's not plastered all over TV and news everyday spouting off about it. |

He’s a freaking tool. Something definitely not right with the guy.

I really enjoy his movies. I recently saw A Few Good Men for the first time. Now I can't wait for Maverick next year.

I like most every one of his films.
And besides, the man has his own P-51........HIS OWN DAMN MUSTANG !! Of much jealousy I am...... |

Nailing Nichole Kidman in her prime too. View Quote Yeah, he was married to her. But the children with her were ADOPTED. Nicole's current marriage has produced biological children. That said, he is good in "action" films, but I think his range is limited to that genre. |

Liked him pretty well in this one.

WoTW could have been great except for 1). Dakota Fanning screaming and 2). Spielbergs fucking film school bullshit. 3). The son should have died in the first scene. The tripods were amazing. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I'm a big fan of early sci-fi and the 50's WotW was one of my favorites, so I appreciated the cameo by the grandparents at the end. |

Decent actor but why the hell he has not distanced himself from the shit that is Scientology absolutely baffles my mind.
There are horrific things that Scientology has done to people, be it there own members or people who speak out against them. Leah Remini strikes me as one of the few folks genuinely upset and has a sour grapes moment over being duped by that cult. So many folks who are out of it just seem to shrug their shoulders and look at it as an individual responsibility fuck up. Like "fooled me" ohwell. I am downright shocked that pissed off family members havent gone on off Falling Down/Kill Dozer style on a Scientology facility. And Tom not distancing himself from the cult reflects badly on him. |

I could see a guy who got famous and rich young being an asshole when he was young, and being completely down to earth at 56. Now he's an icon, he's been making awesome successful movies for 35+ years, he's still at the top of his game as an actor, he's fabulously rich, what does he have to prove to anybody? His MI movies are great (except for the one we don't speak about, the one in between MI:1 and MI:3). When they make a biopic of my life, I want Tom Cruise to play me, with Samuel L. Jackson's voice dubbed in. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I actually met him recently through a work deal. I was expecting a big time Hollywood asshat, but in person he could not have been cooler. Treated everyone great, was funny, gracious, and accommodating. Really blew my mind that a star that huge just seemed like a down to earth everyday dude. His MI movies are great (except for the one we don't speak about, the one in between MI:1 and MI:3). When they make a biopic of my life, I want Tom Cruise to play me, with Samuel L. He's one of those guys I should hate but I can't... Too many excellent movies.
I worked with a guy who was in the Navy during the filming of Top Gun and was a crew member of the actual helicopter involved in the rescue scene in the movie. He wasn't in the movie but the crew chief was. Supposedly Cruise almost drowned during the filming of the rescue scene but was rescued by the crew chief. My friend was prone to exaggeration though... |

He seems to be a dedicated, highly motivated and driven individual. The type that would be immensely successful in whatever field he pursues. He is one of the truly enviable in that he uses his wealth to maximize his potential as a human being. Learning new skills like gun fighting, martial arts, learning new languages, music lessons, physical fitness, piloting aircraft, racing, etc. He's not just using his wealth to live a life of sloth and decadence. And in that, he is enviable. I don't agree with his political or religious beliefs, however, but nobody's perfect.

IMO, any man that would completely disown his young child because of that whacked out cult he belongs to is a worthless POS.
