Quality tools are always worth it.  Saves me many many cuss words.

The only exception for me is if I think the tool will be of limited or one off use.  Then I might cheap out on some Harbor Freight BS.

Years ago, I tackled the project of cutting out the floor, stringers, and transom of a fiberglass ski boat.  I bout a harbor freight angle grinder because I knew I would kill it. Damn thing is still running a decade of serious abuse later.

All of them, I’ve broken cheap sockets, screw drivers, and hammers. Those are the most basic of tools and all have failed me when I bought cheap. I guess it matters if you will actually use them more then once or twice in real projects beyond putting up a picture frame.

Wright Grip 2 wrench's and S-K Sockets.  I was already knee deep in S-K before I found out how good Wright Tools are.

But I tell the younger generation to go buy what ever they can afford.  Put some money in the bank with your tools and replace them with quality as needed.

Quality makes a huge difference with taps, dies, bolt extractors and drill bits.

Felco does indeed make a great pruner.

Lots of cheap tools as well as harbor freight tools used on that project.  Also replaced the entire driveline including transmission and differential using cheap tools.  Been racing it for three years now without issues.  Even my torque wrenches are harbor freight. Lol.

Ever use original low  or Berger tools? Both are German and look very similar to felco. Also the French Arno brand looks interesting.

While not doubting you, and I love knipex, as a professional I think Felco are the tits. I have used everything else (except knipex) and nothing compares. They are on my hip every single day. They are $60-$70, but cheap when youndont have to think about replacement cost. Every piece is replaceable and the steel they use is outstanding. I cut things daily that hand pruners just aren't "supposed " to cut.

The ergonomics of the F7s are amazing and meld to your hand. They even make a left handed version.

No, the Berger look good and stout though. I'm sure they are very good as well, I just have never had a reason to switch from Felco.
