Wow, just wow. I had seen some of those before but wow. It sucks being poor.

i loved the bookcase/gun rack room. and many of the others. I thought 2 or 3 might be from a store.

Thanks for posting, even though I had seen most of them.
I conservatively estimate at least 30 of those are gun shops. I mean, battlefield vegas' armory is in there at least once, maybe twice. The HK grey room is in there. Quite a lot of those are not gun rooms in houses. I will one day have a gun room built though...full vault, fireproof, etc. Check out our own Armory section in the safes subforum. There are loads of great rooms being built by members in the site to go though and get ideas. |

Good stuff! Some of those shots must be advertisement photos. Lots of the same pegboard, and the two reading bench pictures are the same bench and room. One has RCBS equipment and the other Hornady.

Some extremely badass collections and setups there, but some of those pics had me wondering "why the hell is this being included?" Any of you guys know what that peg type board is called that a lot of those room have on there walks, I have a perfect wall in my cave for that.

Nope, didn't see the one that I will have a close copy of, some day.
Sad to say, can't find any pics on the net since he took his blog pretty much down, but I do remember... |

Nice. Not a fan of pegboard, I love the look of armory style storage with them lined up in rows.

Call me wierd but I really liked more of the pegboard design vs the really nice wood & felt look. I dunno why considering how much I love wood furniture, floors, etc

All that gun room needs is a recliner with a small table next to it for the lotion and tissue paper.

When you spend more money on your gun room than on your guns, you're doing it all wrong...

Several of those looked my the they were at a Cabelas store. Wasn't really all that impressive. Nice, but the top 100? We have seen better by members on here.

Sometimes I think I have a lot of guns. Then I see something like that. |
|
View Quote yeah but the cabinets are much deeper than what they are being used for |

Some of the rooms could be had with very little money. Filling those rooms with all those guns would cost a tad more.

Those photos really helped me determine what I like and don't like. I don't like antiseptic bare rooms, glass doors, pegboard, etc.
What I like is a comfortable room with guns. Nice chairs, Windows, etc., and firearms you can see, but not displayed like in a museum or a store. Not all the same kind, like shotguns lined up in a row. Maybe a light background, not intense colors or wood. Yeah, I would be really picky, if I were a millionaire. |
|
I have enough room to put all mine on display but I`d have to put them back in the safe when we leave town. Sucks.

None of these are what my dream armory would be like...and these threads always beg the question "What does my dream armory cost?" or "how much could I spend..."

Why are some of these shotguns stored barrel-down? I'm not a shotgun guy, soooo.... http://nextluxury.com/wp-content/uploads/old-school-shotgun-gun-room-floor-rack.jpg View Quote It keeps the oil from draining out of the action into the stock. I think it weakens the wood and it can lead to a crack at the wrist. |
