Apparently, someone who was maybe one of the actual transcribers leaked the information to the whistleblower, but the information leaked was greatly exaggerated and the whistleblower fell for it. I think the leaker was put up by Trump to give false info to the whistleblower because Trump knew he had this enemy that maybe he had intel was going to go to the Dems with "something", and so he provided a carrot that the whistleblower ran with. |
