They built that fullsize prop Harrier for the movie.... it was used again in one of the Avenger movies (Hulk smashed it).

Quoted: Dangerously close? They literally back it into a building. It's a silly movie, speaking from firsthand experience the Harrier can't do those things. The hardest working mechanics I've ever seen were Harrier mechanics. Keeping those things in the air is an incredible achievement. I'm one of those people who doesn't believe in keeping around hardware that mechanics have to kill themselves to keep operational. I'm looking forward to the retirement of the Harrier. View Quote Aren't you special. We all know it was fake, it' entertainment. No animals, people, or buildings were harmed during filming so no one cares about your personal feelings on what a Harrier can do. |

That entire movie is a classic and those Harrier scenes ruined it. They just looked fake as hell.

It is an outrage that this has not come to Blu-ray HD and more recently UHD after all of these years, despite the popularity and demand.
I don't think it is even possible to own a digital copy, it is only occasionally on some streaming services. |

Quoted: One of those date movie questions. If they don’t like True Lies, they’re a terrible person. View Quote I went to see that movie in the theater with a new girlfriend at the time. Our first date. We both enjoyed it and a few years later I bought it on video tape (it was that long ago) so we could watch it again at my house. It was a fun movie and the start of a fun relationship for me that lasted nearly 10 years. |

View Quote I remember that commercial, but I didn't know that somebody submitted a redemption form for a Harrier. They were selling points for $0.10 each, so a guy sent them a check for $700k and told them he wanted the Harrier. Pepsi changed the commercial and raised the price of the Harrier to 700 million points. It's unclear as to whether the Harrier was actually in the prize catalog. The court said Pepsi's commercial was not an offer of a Harrier purchase contract. Leonard v PepsiCo Case Brief (Outline Summary) - Featured on Netflix! |

Taking out the bridge was a great scene but everything else was ass and is what wrecked the movie.
Writer, Producer, and Director should have been smacked upside the head for those ridiculous scenes. |

One of my friends use to fly the Harrier in the Marines. Said he loved flying it, but she was a bit unforgiving in hover.
Lost a few friends flying it. He retired from American a few years ago. One hell of a pilot and super cool guy. |
