After declaring that former President Donald Trump would attend Freedom Fest next month, organizer Eric Deters announced Sunday that Trump wouldn't come, resulting in the popular Northern Kentucky festival being canceled. The event in Morning View, Kentucky, about 20 miles south of Cincinnati, has drawn thousands of attendees for the past two years and has been packed with conservative political speakers, food trucks and entertainment for children. Last year, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump revved up the crowd. ... The event has been free in the past, but this year VIP seating and a VIP tent drew a price tag. The seating ranged from $100-$2,000 and the tent tickets were going for $5,000. As of Monday morning, fewer than 150 had purchased tickets in an area meant to seat over 1,000 people, according to a ticketing website for the event. Can't sell more than 150 tickets to see Trump in Kentucky? Yes, yes, we know... Rent free, blah, blah, blah. Go ahead, get all the cope and seethe out. |

The average guy isn’t going to fork over 100+ to see Trump. That money has been spent on Taylor Swift.

WTF did they expect when an annually free event suddenly becomes 500 per. Of course the ticket sales disappear.

It isn’t like Democrat Party events where your ticket buys you political favors or art work by the President’s son.

I don't think that your thread title is true, OP.
The event was canceled because trump decided to overnight in IA rather than return. Also, it's over a month until the event was scheduled. I was going to be on the outer perimeter team for the event, which would have been fun. |

So this event that is normally really popular has a Trump event within the event but that tickets to that portion don't sell so the whole thing is scrapped? That doesn't make sense. Wouldn't they just cancel the Trump part?
