This is Trump fucking Nancy out of the ridiculous USPS funding and mail-in voter fraud schemes contained in her bill.

There is no reason to pass that nonsense if he addresses the key points that people actually care about.

Everyone complaining about the cost is missing the fact that we are far beyond that point already. Focus on the play for control that is happening right now instead.

Using that logic, we're far beyond the point of being able to deport every illegal so we should not only just stop deporting them but allow them all unfettered access.

Does anyone actually believe the debt will ever be paid off?  Never!  Just spend until the collapse.. There will be a world wide reset one day and I hope I'm 6 feet under before it happens, because it will not be pretty.

True for gasoline, food, homes (which are about 20x but considering better quality in some ways but not others like chipboard instead of plywood so at least 10x).  Even China shoes are 10x compared to old times USA. Car maintenance and parts are likely 10x. Cars and electronics being more of the exceptions. But the big life long expenses are at least 10x.

Yes, my point though was just saying the dollar is 1/10th of its former worth does not tell the whole story. Those one time huge purchases for modern conveniences are now cheaper and more reliable than before.  The poor are ultimately the ones that pay for reckless spending, but no one could argue the poor are worse off in 2020 then they were in 1975

You should go back in the archives to 2015-2016 when Trump was campaigning on completely eliminating the national debt in 8 years.

Unless you’ve done a mod, you have a 70-30 split on your Pepsi. Needs to be a full 50-50 for it to count.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I have less debt than the median US household but a decently substantial amount however, unlike Uncle Sugar, I manage mine quite well.

In fact, I've actually increased it somewhat recently to obtain some expensive hard goods of value at current prices to hedge against Trump and the rest of the Republicans and Democrats killing the value of the dollar. Last I checked I'm running at about 30% debt to income, as opposed to FedGov's 137%.

Dave Ramsey is for people who lack self control or intelligence. You know, kind of like the Federal Government...

If you actually believe that.  The really important thing is that there used to be a time when being a Republican meant being fiscally conservative.  Oh my have times changed when conservatives, Republicans, or whatever name they are called in the era of DJT are now praising the passing out of money left and right and supporting the POTUS in doing so.  I wonder if these same sentiments will be the case if a Democrat does the same thing.

Fuck socialism and fuck Trump if he goes through with this. I’ve never voted for socialism, and I won’t start now.

The state governors ruined their economies 100% by their own choice and by their own “mandates”. The states can fix their economic problems that they solely created by themselves.

EDIT: Fiscal conservatives like Ron Paul have existed for decades but never had any real influence and are usually drummed out of the party one way or another.

Why? So you can continue to watch its value erode while just sitting there?

Buying a hard asset like NODs or ammo is actually a much smarter course of action. Even putting it into the market to offset some of the loss it's going to experience.

In a savings account with its already atrocious interest rate, that Trump is pushing to drop even lower, is just about the worst thing you could do with it.

I remember Trump bitching about the low interest rates under obama hurting savers-then he gets in and wants them almost 0. Almost laughable if we weren't getting screwed.

'Course it makes the stock market look good, since there is almost nowhere else to put your money to get a return.

O/T-I picked up a bunch of American Rifleman magazines from 1934 and 1935 quite a few years back, and was flipping through them again. They had Florida listed on the legislation page wanting to ban automatic weapons to anyone but the cops and military-the NRA supported it.

I dont think the economy can sustain this insane spending, but if the US is the worlds reserve currency maybe for a while longer?  What I know is that the pain is going to be so much that limbs and everything will be tossed into a dumpster fire.  Central banking is a building block to socialism.  Socialism means control over people and all monetary things.  Then people die cause ya know everything is wrong and those that be in power just did not get it right.

Fucking socialism has killed hundreds of millions maybe a lot more, the US stands alone in the world and when it has been subverted, infiltrated, spied upon by so called allies to have those countries progressive ideologies while taking everything from the US.  Trump literally stopped the Obama's "progressive" dream.  US first.

I'm so old,I remember when the debt hit 1 TRILLION dollars. Turned me into a frugal prepper (along with family and family friends). I mean, how long could we go on? They are all gone, and there is no end in sight for where it tops out at.

The big test is how we do vs the rest of the world. Our GDP is much less reliant on tourism than most of the world so we have that going for us. However, it appears they were smart enough to embrace masks and shut shit downs before their cases got out of control. We chose greed early on and are now paying for it with cases and death. Only time will tell but it is looking like their damage will be minor and temporary while ours will be large and permanent. This looks like the opposite of WWII. We are going to need more aid to offset our significantly higher damage and they will likely turn into the suppliers of that aid since their damage was far less severe. Fortunately we started out with a significant superiority on the world stage so we have resources to sacrifice. But then again so did they after WWII.
