Around here the courtesy cards are actually badges that say "commissioner" on them.
I arrested a police commissioner's grand daughter once for a felony warrant completely unrelated to the call I had been dispatched to. Commissioner actually showed up to the scene because a family member called him. He was pretty cool about it but definitely let me know who he was. I responded by saying something like, "cool bro, her bond is $1000". I get done booking her and head back to the PD and let my LT know I arrested some chick for a felony warrant and some dude that claimed he was a commissioner showed up. You should have seen the LTs face. LT had to call the captain and chief at 3am because of me. |
