Where can you get sheets of lead?? ETA: Found some!!! Pic thread: https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/7075393536/hB57D1C30/ We build satellite components for that division. Whenever someone from there bitches at us about anything, I just think about that image and the phrase "Well, we may not be perfect, but at least we didn't dump a complete satellite on its head." |

Quoted: Fail.Even though this one is from FailBlog, I consider it an Epic Win. Redneck Deck: https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/7070117632/hFA8730A3/ It even lines up at the right height below the door openings! Trailer Park Genius, nothing less. Code Violation. It needs cattle-rack railings to keep the drunks and young'uns from falling offa there. |

I have known met people who were tenured professors of ice cream, and I personally know a tenure professor of turf (at major universities). Supposedly there's a professorship of wine at Cornell. That would be awesome. "Hey everyone, I'm off to France to do some research for a few months" My Dad taught Turf Management, although he was a professor in the Plant and Soils department. I also took wines at Cornell, and the professor was very good at his job, which was definitely a sweet gig. He had visited essentially every major wine region in the world. It was actually one of the more useful classes I took... 2 of the people in my department are doing their thesis work on optimizing site selection criteria for vineyards. let's hear it for liquid geography! oh, and since i've been freeloading... Well obviously, he's using windows. |

This picture is less impressive when you realize it's a right hand drive car. Why is it that the front tire up in the air is of a different tread design than the other 3? Did they pop one of them while trying this stunt and then have to throw a spare on it? Considering they destroy tires and wheels all the time on demo/stunt cars, probably. |

That would be awesome. "Hey everyone, I'm off to France to do some research for a few months" I knew a guy who majored in Turf Grass Management. One semester he never went out drinking on Friday because he had to be up at 0500 Saturday to go golfing. For class. My degree is in Turf grass management (agronomy) beats the hell out of real farming. That's hard work! |

In high school, we had a similar set of pictures shown to us in driver's ed. The driver didn't fare well at all; we saw a pic of him totally covered with a sheet, but it was obvious that the FD had sawed a 2x6 guard rail in front and back of his chest, to get him out of the car. (These pics were from the '50s or '60s.) |

You noticed that too |

i worked a wreck like that years ago. car was a camaro iroc and it cut the driver in half. |
|
Yes, I would like fries with that. |
|
......I'll just... ....make to the end and keep going.... <gets out cussin> ...Fuckin' long-ass guard rails! <tells guy> Yeah man, I had this until my foot slipped off the gas. Hey, would you watch for me while I back it back out? |
|
I believe the driver fell asleep on that one, and walked away from the wreck. I vaguely remember when it happened, 4-6 years ago I think.
