It is the US, UK and a few other allies that spun-up Ukraine's military after Russia invaded. Germany is both politically useless and geographically pointless in regards to containing Russia. Russian containment now takes place in Poland, Hungary, Romania and what's left of Ukraine. The Three Seas Initiative is the tool by which to contain Russia today. |

Who needs a Trojan horse tactic when the country leaders are opening the gates and building express lanes for Moose-lims in? |

Ambassador to Estonia, huh? Not exactly an A-1 gold star posting, LOL. I suppose it IS a step up from ambassador to togo, pago-pago, bora-bora, Gilligan's Island or Sea World, LOL. Its probably a safe bet this guy was a career State guy which means he's a useless toady. If he was somebody worth a crap, he'd have been ambassador to a more important country. No great loss.
Estonia is like a lot of former Eastern Bloc countries; democracy is still a shiny new toy and they're going places eventually. With the falling of the wall and the coming of the second russian revolution you'd think they would not need NATO. You'd think, but try being Polish, Slovakian, Czech, Ukraynian. Yeah, them Russkies are still just as scary so please Mr Uncle Sam, don't let that bad bear toss me into the briar patch. Can we be NATO too? LOL. And that's what we got. |

I’ll do the job and charge half the price of what this guy was getting. Seriously, how hard could it be? Constantly talk flatteringly to the politicians, get drunk at parties, bang hookers. Promise them first world status and leave when the country goes to shit.
Plus the benefits. |

The Galils will almost certainly be replaced by 416s soon, though I was hoping the BREN or MSBS would be picked. View Quote Interestingly, despite the Stimson Doctrine and Welles Declaration being perhaps one of the last principled things that State or the Democratic Foreign policy establishment ever did, both groups attempted to walk it back until 1990. |

As a guess, I'll go with: To man their battlements for them, so they can spend more of their efforts on self-pussification and working to undercut us at every opportunity as they turn more socialist and import more heathen enemy to finish the assault the Turks lost at the gates of Vienna in 1683? Who needs a Trojan horse tactic when the country leaders are opening the gates and building express lanes for Moose-lims in? View Quote There are none. Zero. There is a worship place that the Sunni and Shi’a have to share but there are so few practicing Muslims that there is no need for an actual mosque. The Uzbeks who were transplanted 50 years ago aren’t practicing, neither are most Tatars so even though there are a few ethnic Muslims, there aren’t very many who are observant. A few years ago, they wanted to move the Islamic center to a storefront downtown and got a big “no”. Estonians are far too xenophobic, racist and culturally chauvinist to allow such a thing,it’s just true. Too much identity is composed of being pork eating, heavy drinking atheists for Islam to be a good fit. To be honest,I’m glad it was disallowed rather than some dumbass make a scene and there be bad publicity. Or you could believe in meme magic and think the caliphate has already been established... |

These are the facts:
1) NATO couldn't fight its way out of a wet bag. 2) The American Century is over. 3) New powers arise in the world. 4) Adapt or perish. Toomas Ilves lived in a dreamworld, and the dream is now over. The current Estonian government needs to consider a realpolitikal approach to a world, in which America is just another country and not some all-powerful hegemon. Barack Obama, Donald Trump, or Bruce Springsteen aren't going to save Estonia from Russia. What now? That is the question for the policy-makers in Tallinna. |

On one hand,I wish Russians could be as good of neighbors as everyone else but they don’t have that in them. Therefore,I would rather see all the detriments of a shitty Russia than the detriments of a successful Russia and for that I’m strangely happy with Putin vs a capable alternative. Nobody would stop them from taking the Baltics barring that tiny risk of there may be something other than nasty words at the UN.,like cutting off porn and hooker exports or something more meaningful than the sanctions over Ukraine or fucking around with the US. What would be hilarious would be all the GD experts who would furiously read Wikipedia and RT articles about how they were historically part of Russia until being made pawns of Wall Street Jews and the like. |
