Quoted: I don't know about everyone else, but if Ukraine had built itself a massive army, threatened its neighbors, launched an unprovoked attack on Russia, driven to the gates of Moscow, and was murdering and kidnapping Russians, then I would support us sending weapons to Russia. View Quote Naw, I'd probably still be ok with them killing Russians. It would be like beating the shit out of the bully that kept taking your lunch money every day of grade school, now that you're in your 20's. It would be somewhat well deserved. YMMV |

Quoted: The book he referenced was written by a Swede named Carolus Lofroos who fought in Azov back in 2015. View Quote I went and looked at these “he's a nazi” claims and found nothing really. He was in the Azov Battalion that was branded all nazis by the far left Swedish press. Also he wrote some nasty tweets about immigration and women in the military. For Reddit leftists this is enough to brand him a nazi. There is no evidence of him being a member of any nazi party or heiling wearing a Dirlewanger brigade emblem or anything. It's all “far right dogwhistle” bullshit. I found nothing in a couple of his in depth interviews to Finnish press about being a nazi, unless you count a couple tangential references to probably the worst immigration policy in the world (in Sweden). It seems to me that the whole “author is a nazi” attack to get Ian McCollum to back down from publishing his book a typical Reddit leftist cancel culture campaign. They don't like the guys politics, so he must be a nazi, as any one right of a Reddit lib is a nazi. It's sad really that Ian caved into this as he said that the manuscript itself had nothing about “nazi talk” and it apparently quickly found new publishers in two new languages. The Finnish translator though is a known classic populist nationalist (so certainly a nazi by Reddit standards). |

so people really give a shit about patches? lol.. as long as they are killing russians and freeing there country from the invaders im sure it doesnt really matter what kind of uniform flair they wear.. why would OP care?

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: exactly So you are FOR the however many tens of billions we've sent to ukraine? May your taxes and inflation rest lightly on you. It’s the “ it’s not a big deal / not much money “ mentality than bankrupts people more than it’s large purchases. @buck19delta I completely agree which is why I am careful about my budget. I look at U.S. spending and it’s a horrific nightmare: 40% of federal spending is with borrowed money! Unfortunately, you can count on one hand the number of Republicans and Democrats that would vote to halt any increase in spending and then slowly start cutting spending to equal revenues. It’s not happening and we all know it will end with the destruction of the dollar. If a small fraction of it, especially when you consider how much we spent on the Cold War, can cripple Russia’s ability to fight conventional wars for the foreseeable future, our long-time archenemy, I don’t think that’s unreasonable. Though it must be done without a single drop of American blood. It still is absolutely wrong to do so from a fiscally responsible standpoint but it’s like the biggest sale in history to hobble Russia so we can focus on China. |

Quoted: Who committed an unprovoked invasion of who? Wars like this usually see a lot of dregs on the front lines, especially with conscription in the picture. Ukraine isn't a 'good guy'. Russia however is absolutely in the wrong, and their repeated invasion and annexation of parts of neighboring countries makes Ukraine a useful tool to stop Russia's aggression. It's not about Ukraine, it's about Russia being a warmongering asshole who keeps attacking other countries. View Quote This is true. Nazi's became infamous for mass murder and invading other People's countries. Ukraine didn't invade anyone no matter what patch they wear/use. |

The 1960's peace symbol was originally a nazi symbol. A European antinuke group paid a German marketing firm to come up with a symbol for their organization. The wider antiwar movement adopted the symbol. So a little problematic complaining about Ukraine with that symbol everywhere.

I wouldn't care if they started flying swastikas as long as single American soldier never ends up dead over there. They can ha e all the weapons and money they need, let them grind it out with Putin for a decade for all I care.

I can see the logic of using the "tod" or death symbol for nuclear disarmament, after all they were saying we were all going to die. Of course the peace/disarmament/anti-nuke movements in the west were funded by the Soviets and peace wasn't really the goal as much as weakening the US and the west. |
