looking at my tax money goes for nothing. They just say a few words and take a break for what? and they still make way way more than average Virginians.

Symbol of power; house in session. NOT for bonking people over the head with.
Although if the boogaloo kicks off, I got my beady little eye on it as a war trophy. @ Pilot in Texas. |

Time to hit the phones and remind them to vote against HB961!

Yep. They don't want to hear about the sanctity of marriage or God's wrath. I wonder why... He called them out and it was glorious. Their cutting him simply showed how narcissistic and prideful they really are.

The scepter is a fasces
also seen on a dime Description Fasces is a bound bundle of wooden rods, sometimes including an axe with its blade emerging. The fasces had its origin in the Etruscan civilization and was passed on to ancient Rome, where it symbolized a magistrate's power and jurisdiction. they call it a mace now The mace has a checkered history. After the American Revolution, House leaders decided it was a symbol of royalty and discontinued the practice. One hundred and eighty years later, they changed their minds and brought in a new ceremonial mace, which was subsequently stolen and eventually recovered by Scotland Yard. |

I hope that we can get video footage of VA Dems turning their back on an African-American reverend who was invited to open their session.

I'm sure this is unpopular but Voting and protesting doesn't do shit. These tyrants will do whatever they want. Only chance we have in these situations is LE not enforcing the laws and law abiding citizens ignoring the laws. Do not comply. Just say NO.

so no discussion today, just "shall the bill pass?" and off it goes?
ETA: looks like they can speak to the bill. Let's see if any R's have some balls. I doubt it. |

ETA: Doesn't look sequential. Stream is back. |

Yep feed is acting pretty wonky. The agenda shows they went from HB 785 to HB 1315 to HB 1552 then to HB 1580 (where my feed cut off again).

View Quote For those unfamiliar with the VA leg session. This could go very late, into the night. They won't adjourn until they finish all their business or they run out of time. HB961 will almost certainly pass the house, the dems have a near supermajority there and this bill is very close to their standard anti-gun orthodoxy. Then it goes onto the Senate where it's a closer run thing with a lot more Dems in rural districts that actually have a reason to worry. There has already been vocal dissent from some key Senate dems. If this thing dies, it's in the Senate. |
