No, but the irony of the West World is lost on just about every viewer and the posters on page 1. Action scenes? Tits? Pff.

The show makes fun of the WW's guests that just want to show up to WW and shoot and fuck everything - so what is HBO known for? Definately not family friendly programming. Anthony Hopkins makes fun of HBO directly in S01E09, IIRC. He even looks at the camera and says it. The show is repetitive to the point of being another irony about it. We know exactly what every character is going to do once you get passed episode 3 and "Ford" even shows you directly on S01E10. Teddy is going to get shot/stabbed, Dolores is going to get slapped around, then killed. "The Black Man" goes about finding the maze the same repetitive way. Everything about the show is about repetition, just like a robot. Remember when the board member says "show, not tell."

Which was the time Dumb and Dumber ran out of solid book material. Instead of basically just plagerizing GRRM they had to rely on their own talent to carry the show. Even with GRRM already having done all the heavy lifting they still can't pull it off.

Was that South Korean Military? Are they renting or leasing the island and therefore the land for certain parks from the gov't of foreign nations?

I think they are setting up at least 2 different time lines again this season, how did Bernard wake up on a beach and also find himself with Hale inside the stable after the hosts went nuts at the part? I think those are 2 different parks.

I'm not sure yet. And I'm not bolstered in my optimism by the Season 2 premier.

It just doesn't feel like they've got the same magnitude of plan and aim for the story this time. There are a lot of distractions borrowed from the Season 1 formula, but it just didn't gel for me. Maybe I'm wrong; I'll watch the opener again tomorrow and maybe have another opinion but right now -- I'm not disappointed but I'm also not stoked for the rest of the story.

I liked everything except Hale surviving the Banquet, which is very dissapointing. Was really hoping she'd be the second human drilled by Delores. Here's hoping the reason she wasn't with Bernard on the beach is that she gets bludgeoned to death in the interim.

Also hoping the dipshit English cuck that was in league with her gets his too.

Anyone else thinking that the overall story is a metaphor for reincarnation? I.e., Delores is the everyman. She goes through multiple lives until she evolves to the point where she has her own consciousness, and at that point becomes something larger than herself. That's what the boy tells the MIB at the end. We're all just bits of code. And that's what the narrator says at the end of the episode, our world is just a spec of dust in a much larger world. Does that refer just to westworld being an island on earth, or also to earth being an island in a much larger cosmos? Plus, the game seems to be not just for the hosts, the MIB is invited to it as well.

I can understand the stuff, I just don't care to get that deep with the series as it continues but we will see.
