Quoted: No fucking way. The 1933 version had more of an "adventure" feel to it. The 1976 version was just a guy in a costume running around. It was about one notch above a Godzilla movie. Fay Wray and Willis O'Brien for the win. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: 1977 King Kong No fucking way. The 1933 version had more of an "adventure" feel to it. Not to mention the Harryhausen original was a goddam technological marvel that stood up decently well into the Jim Henson era of puppetry effects. That big Hollywood lot fire from a few years back destroyed the giant monkey head that chewed up tribals in one of the scenes |

Quoted: Can you name at least one? View Quote I liked Sabrina better. Yes the original has Hepburn & Bogart... but I just didn’t like how she was going to casually kill her self (cars running in the garage) over a crush... as the setup to why she was sent to Paris to learn how to cook & get her away from the crush. In the remake she was leaving for Paris anyway (photographer assistant work). No need to try to kill herself etc. Granted Harrison Ford is a little flat in the remake but the rest was good. |

Quoted: Robocop. Remake was a much more serious movie. The first is a classic and great in its own way, but the remake is better. The Thing was better than the 1951 original. View Quote Bro, the only good part of 2014 Robocop was the opening scene, after that the movie just falls apart. And PG13? Really? 87 movie is superior in almost every way. |

Quoted: You're wrong. Horribly wrong and you should feel really bad about what you wrote. Really bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uv_WGEHr4I View Quote Actually I feel good, like an American should. I spoke the truth and you didn’t like it. Are you hillary ? |

Whatever, this will do as a stand-in; Robocop dude gets shot in the privates scene nasty |

Gross. The shitty make up really detracts from it. It's hard to take it seriously when all the zombies look like the wicked witch of the west and their necks and other areas are still skin tone.

I actually liked the remake of The Longest Yard better. Nothing wrong the with original though

The Razors Edge
Bill Murray OWNED the role of Larry Darrell. ETA- Young Guns I/II - Best film portrayal of Billy The Kid and the other Regulators. Not wholly historically accurate but I believe the personas were spot on (based on what I have read). |

1992 last of the mohicans
better remake and one of the greatest films ever made |

Quoted: Gone in 60 seconds. The original was rough. View Quote Heretic! Cage sucks. The first will always be regarded (at least in my mind) as a forerunner to the glorious 80's live action films. The film is known for having wrecked and destroyed 93 cars in a 40-minute car chase scene. A total of 127 cars were either destroyed or damaged throughout the entirety of the film. The intro to The Fall Guy is better than that remake was. Note, at 1:11 is the end of the original GI60S. The Fall Guy Intro |

"Payback" with Mel Gibson and Maria Bella is one of my top 10 flicks, fuggin' hilarious and awesome... IMO superior to the 60's version "Point Blank" starring Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson.. the original is true Noir which I can appreciate, but sometimes leaves too much to interpretation and can be unsatisfying to my taste... I believe Payback was an attempt, and has the look for sure, but is a much more straight forward story..
Point Blank is definitely worth a look though, directed by John Boorman and star studded cast.. |

Quoted: I Am Legend. View Quote If you mean Omega Man with Charlton Heston was better than The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price, you may be right, though the latter was much closer to the book. If you are saying the Will Smith abomination was better than either one, then I'll have to disagree. |

Red Dawn
Watched the remake first not knowing it's a remake. Other than a couple weak plot points, I thought it was great. Went back and watched the original when I learned of it, time has not been kind to it. I could barely make it through. |

Don't think anyone mentioned Cape Fear. The original is great too but Deniro knocked that out of the park. Creepy film.
