Geesh. Just go hiking and shooting. |

hmm never had an interest in a G lower...but North Wales is right down the road from me...reason enough to buy? |

Have we done these yet?
-The left, civilians, throwing tons of money buying AR15s. -The Left, politicians, trying to ban them. -The same left voting to make themselves criminals -Quad Rails |

Quoted: Chinese Optics and the advocacy for them. Used to get you laughed out of any serious AR conversation, now there’s a ton of tier 3 operators talking about their shit China optic being as good as others. View Quote They'll find out just how good those optics are when/if the shit hits the fan Probably be a lot of people without optics, ... But..but... lifetime warranty! It'll do them a lot of good in that scenario. I want to laugh, but it'll probably be some good dudes getting killed for lack of optics worth a fuck. |

Quoted: GBPSWE. I have had both. G is better. If you want to say your MBT is a better value Id be inclined to agree with you but if you can’t tell the difference in a MBT-2S and a HSNM then you’re high or incompetent, or you’ve never actually shot them side by side and buying into the poors’ hype. Same freakin people that say BA is just as good as LaRue. Give me a break people. And to that point I’ll actually defend Holosun. Guess what? They put out optics with innovative features that US companies haven’t done, and their reliability is just as good. In fact I’d run a Holosun RDS before any other on my EDC which is why I bought a 507k. Sorry, but the US is a leader in optics, not THE leader. Trijicon pulled a Surefire move and rode on the coattails of their reputation instead of constantly innovating. Others are either catching up or have caught up. If Streamlight fixes their latch issue then I’d say Surefire needs to watch out as their weapon lights are otherwise just as tough, brighter, and have better beam patterns. And they are a third the price. View Quote Two things: 1. If you own 5 SSA's and 5 MBT's, (IMHO) the MBT's are all going to feel the same. The SSA's are not. I attribute this to better Larue manufactoring techniques. 2. My BA barrels stack holes EXACTLY as well as my Noveske SS barrels. |

Most builds on Plebeian AR.
Owning guns but not shooting them because you can't afford ammo
Expensive builds with very tight tolerances.
Add some heat and some bs sales gimmick about a coated parts that require no lube and you've got a failure machine. |
Parts for the sake of parts, ex. hand stops on rifles with long rails, offset irons/RDS that will snag on stuff, brakes on anything but competition guns, cheap Chinese shit parts and optics. Putting LPVOs on everything because they're "in" when in most cases either a red dot, fixed, or mid/higher powered scope would actually serve the user much better. Gucci/gram guns that don't get used, probably with parts that decrease reliability significantly and a stupid finish.
That said, guess I don't care what you spend or waste your money on, those are just the things that tell me you probably don't actually shoot/hike/move/train with a rifle and you'll be judged accordingly. Also, lately, boomers that want to pay last year's used prices on guns and ammo as if the market hasn't changed dramatically. |

Quoted: It took me a while to think of one, but all of the skeletonized AR and accessories out there. Shit like this: https://i.imgur.com/R0iEJ59.jpg It's the gun equivalent of a stanced Miata with oversized rims and floaters, and I don't want to hear no hemming and hawing about it being for competition because a lot of owners I've seen don't shoot competition. Quoted: Well, the honest truth is that the majority of AR manufacturers aren't manufacturing anything. They're assemblers. They farm out actual production of components and slap them together. The vast majority of parts come from the same folks that make parts for the cheap builds. A prime example was DPMS back in the day. They made a shit ton of parts for higher names. Hell, CMMG was nothing but DPMS parts relabeled. Another big producer of parts these days is Ruger and their Pine Tree Casting Facility. They make parts for a lot of the big names. It is one of the reasons why they jumped into the AR and 1911 markets. With the vast majority of ARs out there, people are paying for a name, not quality. And the honest truth is this. You can spend $400 dollars on a cheap AR and the amount of money in ammo you'll need to spend to utterly break it is way beyond the value you invested in the rifle. We're talking waaaaaaaay more. Gucci Guns are like luxury super cars. Except they really don't do much since the performance is so minuscule. The juice isn't worth the squeeze for the average gun owner. Most people buy an AR and stick it in the closet and shoot less than half a case of steel through it in two years while blasting away at dirt clumps and paper at a distance of 25 yards or less.
