1 mile on steel targets
Edit to add on a range I built on private land in CT Shot long range there regularly when the corn and hay was cut. Had a home made 8 foot tall platform I built. |

Larue had a 1000 yard side match at the RockCastle 3 Gun the first year it was held. They also had good brisket

1500 meters on a Saturday with my M82.
Ive shot out to several kilometers during aerial gunnery, max in combat was usually well within 1 kilometer. |

1978-79-80, 1000 yds USMC Camp Pendleton, NM M14 with NM irons, 308 LC match.(175gr?)
2015 about 1400 yds +/- on a 24" wide x 36" tall steel plate across a small valley west of Winchester Va. Savage 300WM, SWFA 20X, 190gr SMK hand loads. |

600 yards at a private range with FAL and a 10 power scope. I managed to hit the target. The target was about 6' square though.

500 @ Edson with irons, 750y civi range /w scoped bolt gun.
Normal rifle shooting for me is between 50 and 200, not a lot of opportunity for more close by. |
