Plasma rifle in the 200 watt range. 40 watts is so yesterday.....
Suppressed of course. |

I’ve got a suppressed AR in 5.56 with a thermal on it. Very handy but uses batteries. Can charge it with a solar panel though.
Probably my 11.5” 5.56 suppressed with an aim point on it. My SCAR 17 wouldn’t be a bad choice though. |

I have better rifles for SHTF but this is generally what I have handy day-to-day so this is most likely what will be handy if it ever does happen. 1895 Winchester SRC .30-06 keep it loaded with heavy 220 grain bullets. https://i.imgur.com/fbeBTDx.jpg?1 View Quote One of my favorite guns that I hope to buy in the future. And what part of WA are you in? I'd love to live on the east side. |

Ruger 10/22 with iron sights (I don't trust a scope in SHTF) with my .38 snub nose to back me up.

I’ve decided to keep this. Will be ordering an Aimpont Pro and a new Magpul stock. Need to get a sling as well.
Attached File I have three other standard Colt 6920’s. I have a PSA 10.5” that I trust which is my go to right now. Need to put some rounds through the Colts, especially the SOCOM. Just waiting to outfit it the way I want. |

Probably my AR pistol with the MGI upper with the extra parts to shoot whatever ammo I find.
Currently I can set it up for .22 LR, 5.56mm, .300BO, 7.62x39mm, 9mm, .458 Socom. With a 1x4 scope in a larue mount, BUIS, light, and single point sling. Currently it is an AR pistol(If TEOWAWKI happens, I'll put a stock on it and a .22 suppressor for "discreet hunting") housed in a small aluminum guncase but I want to modify a non-discript day pack to carry barrels, BCGs, magazines, "parts," etc. I want to keep it light and concealable. I'll also add some basic survival gear to the pack; water filter, fire making, first aid, etc. I'd like to keep it under 10-15 lbs. Of course this is a "bugout" situation, "bugging in" is a whole different situation.(Realistically, I'm not going to last very long at my age and condition if I have to be constantly on the move. It's nice to "war game" these situations though!) I own "several" of the firearms posted already but I would not feel under gunned with this AND my 5.7 Pistol. It may be hard to find ammo but you can carry a whole lot of ammo for that gun. It is lethal and great for a SHTF situation, especially suppressed. Anything is better than a sharp stick! |

Low key, G19 with a Micro Roni.
Not so low key, .300blk with an 8" barrel and a linear comp. |

View Quote I have only seen ammo for them on a few occasions, it was mostly 4 gauge and was more collectible than shooting ammo. Probably not too difficult to load your own if you were able to find some brass as it’s basically just a big black powder shotgun. |

True SHTF?
Ill grab some chain mail, armor, and melee weapons |

At my age, I don't think I could handle shit actually hitting a fan.
If the turd could just be left lying, like in one spot, I could snipe the hell out of that from overwatch with my 10-22. Not too far away....it only has a 4 power on it. |

We’re only supposed to have one?
I’m not a fan of parity so AR isn’t my first choice. I’ll take something that reaches out farther or hits harder up close and leave my wife with an AR for ease of use. |
