I have always enjoyed shooting handguns, as their are just so many out there compared to any other type of firearm. Next, would be lever guns as they are a lot of fun.

I've got a 22lr Vudoo in an XLR chassis with a S&B PMII on it. It is so stupid accurate, my best recorded group is .18 MOA off a bench. I can shoot smiley faces in targets at 100 yards with it. It's more giggles per dollar than anything else I own. You can decide which side of the prairie dog's eyebrow you're going to hit.

Excellent quality at a fairly reasonable price. I really like the single screw scope clamps as it makes mounting the scope dead simple. |

Quoted: Flintlocks View Quote This. The flintlock longrifle, to be specific. With real black powder and a tallow/beeswax patched round ball, loaded from the pouch and horn I made, hanging off my shoulder. I just happen to be listening to The Frontiersman by A. Ekert on audiobook as I work today |

View Quote At the range last year 2 guys were playing "BattleShip" at 150yds... The damn dots on the target were roughly the size of a dime maybe a nickle. One had a Vudoo, the other a Bergara... Neither of them were missing the dots. Gotta say the bergara was holding its own pretty well! Didn't know .22s could be that accurate out to that distance. Annnnd then I saw their targets out at 300yds |

Quoted: 300 PRC long range rifle. Made hits out to 1200 yards with it so far. Waiting on a suppressor and then will go out to a mile. http://i.imgur.com/aZCnP0f.jpg View Quote Sheeeeeit... Hell of a setup! What brand can you going with TBAC? |

They're all fun
I just feel like if all variables are equal I can get more enjoyment with a handgun. I feel its more of a challenge running drills than with a rifle. |
|
Handguns. Easy to set up, easy to see the target, challenging to use.
ETA, less costly per trigger squeeze. |
|
Right now it's handguns, but as soon as I get a suppressor that might change. Shooting an SBR indoors isn't for the feint-hearted.
Can't wait for fall and outdoor shooting again, will be nice to grab the AR's and Shotguns and play 'What office equipment can we fuck up this time?' again. |

I voted shotgun, as it’s what I use wing shooting. It’s my favorite way to hunt (not that any are bad…).
There’s something about shooting a nice break action. Satisfying. But I like everything. Pistols are a hoot, esp suppressed 22’s. Like toys. Speaking of, I guess I could have voted rifle, too. Between lever guns and semis, and bolt. And milsurp. And… Yeah, hard to pick one. |
|
Man, just about any .22. Even air powered.
Benched or prone with a bolt action .22lr or pellet on a nice 60 degree fall day is heaven sometimes. Semi .22 pistols and long guns are always a good time too. |

Big bore revolvers. My first handgun was a Dan Wesson 44v and I've had a few other 44 mags over the decades.
My all time favorite type is a 29-2 with a 4 inch barrel. |

I shoot it and enjoy it all.
But I spend most of my time shooting handguns, have more handguns than rifles, and have spent much more time seeking out training with handguns than I have rifles or shotguns. |

Something about a .22 rifle, semi auto or lever is just soothing to me.

Quoted: Bolt action rifle for me, but its because of being out in the woods/hunting big game. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/404934/IMG_7206_jpeg-3284647.JPG View Quote Always enjoy your posts but your RUM needs a Can. |

I'm lazy, my favorite guns I shoot require just laying in the dirt and enjoying nature.
|
|
Rifle. I enjoy shooting the 6.5 Creedmoor gasser at long range and at small targets. I enjoy shooting the Yugo SKS with irons at the machine gun shoot. The 300 Blackout with subs suppressed is fun on steel as is the MPX. Suppressed .22 with CCI Quiets from the bolt gun is literally Hollywood quiet and a hoot.

It really depends on what is available to shoot….
A good rifle course is a ton of fun. But takes a lot of yardage and effort to set up. Sporting clays are a ton of fun. Probably requires a formal gun club to set up and maintain. Pistols require less space. Some steel, some paper, a single bay. I love shooting whatever is in front of me. I am most proficient with handguns. Rifles are not far behind. Shotgun goes to shit bad with crossers at distance. |
|
I am a pretty decent handgun shooter - but I will always be a rifleman at heart.

Pistols by a mile. Much more of a challenge and probably the most practical.
|
|
Rifle is my favorite, but when I was shooting a lot, I was better with a handgun than a rifle.
Shotguns are a far, far distant third. |
|
Most fun lately is either my Pedersoli 1858 Enfield or my 6.5CM RPR.
1858 because it’s incredibly accurate for a BP rifle. I have it dialed in. Head sized plates at 200 is no biggie. Those 620 grain pills are comical when I’m stuffing them down the barrel. Like a shoulder howitzer. It always gets attention at the range. RPR because of the big jump in reloading technology I made in the past three years to shrink groups. Latest loads with N555 were 0.27 MOA. I think I’m at the mechanical limits now. |
|
Not really a "gun", but a 120mm mortar is a hell of a lot of fun to shoot. MK19 is even more fun, if it's properly lubed and running.
Lately though my favorite has been a B&T APC9SD. Quiet and oh so fun. |

I just love all of the firearms in my collection though some seldom if ever get shot, but I try to give everyone a turn eventually and have developed loads for every firearm and caliber I own, except shotguns.
When I go shoot, it's almost always an all day event, an 8 to 15 hour day with 30 plus firearms is pretty typical for me especially when I go to the desert. Today I got to the range at 9:40, didn't leave until I got kicked out at closing time at 5. Today was a very light day for me, I only took six rifles and shot them all. Tested 8 loads, 2 rifles for function, tested the Lab radar against the Garmin xero and had fun with my old 513T. I shoot my dads old hunting rifles and my lever gun the least, followed very closely by my shotguns. My handguns get shot quite a bit, but like the rest, there are ones I tend to favor over others. My usual stable of rifles get shot a lot, same as the handguns including the favoring. But I go through stages where I will shoot several quite a bit, then move onto the others in my collection and repeat. Right now my AP-5 is amongst my most shot. Today is probably only the second time I went shooting without it in the two years I have had it. I have never done black powder, have never owned any Combloc stuff, no cowboy stuff or Shilo Sharps type rifles, but I'd sure like to try them. Have multiple suppressors, and SBRs. Really want a full auto! I just absolutely love shooting, loading, collecting and tinkering with firearms and always have for as long as I can remember. |

Revolvers. Something about loading and firing six rounds seems really satisfying.
