Quoted: My G17, but I really need a light and an RMR. I have a 6.5moa RMR but that's too big for my astigmatism. If I'm going as low key as I can (no rifle or external tac stuff) my G48. No light or red dot there either but at least I have night sights and a lowpro IWB holster for it. I really can't shoot it that well, too small for me. @Solo_ Is that the factory sheath on your SRK Compact? View Quote No - I purchased it on eGay, years ago - I forget the name of the guy; it included the fire starter kit thingy (which I love anyway and it works). Thanks for asking! @brachiosaur |

Quoted: I guess G17 but it really doesn’t matter to be honest because pistols suck. Handguns have their place. There are plenty of 3rd world shitholes in ~quasi-shtf~ mode around the world ATM showing the usefulness of a good handgun. I'm not saying they are as useful as a long gun, but they certainly have their place |

Dagger with 17-round mags or a BHP with a shit ton of 13-round mags.

Quoted: 92fs View Quote I think this for me, as well. I have the most magazines and holsters for my 92FS because I used to shoot it in competitions. If I had a nice holster for my CZ P-09 or my P80 G17 then I would pick one of those. I need more magazines and range time with my P80 G17 before I would trust it in SHTF. I've only shot it a few times but it has done well so far. |

Because I can carry a rifle....I would carry one of my .45 full size 1911's.
No rifle? Probably something in 9mm because of ammo sourcing. |
|
If I'm going to try to make it, G45 wit da stendos and a light. Maybe G43 for a backup. If I just want to look cool while I die, my BHP and Centennial Airweight. "It's a good pistol and kilt the zombie what bit me".

I see folks on my property up to no good while removing or maintaining things, even with the G17 strapped to my side I am still making my way for my rifle that is nearby. |

Quoted: FNP 45. In a SHTF situation, 14 or 15 rounds of .45 is nice. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/73053.JPG View Quote I like the cut of your jib. |

Start out with my EAA Witness 10mm.
If something happens to it, then pick up something else. |

My full sized handgun for SHTF would be a compact handgun, specifically my P365XL. It's light, hold plenty of death seeds, and is as accurate as I am.
If I have to stick with the rules I'll pick my X-Five Legion with Romeo 1 Pro optic. It's my competition pistol but it's stupid heavy. I also have four 23 round mags for it. |

Since I only have two larger caliber handguns, I guess my Sig p229 in forty.

Great movie, and it has some incredible long steadycam action shots. Very well done. Slow and thoughtful in places, not for the GD Michael Bay fans. |
|
If it's SHTF, pistols likely won't matter as much because people who can/intend do any shooting will be using long guns.
That said, probably G17 because of logistical compatibility. |

LOL @ all the steel framed CZs, don't forget slide stops, trigger return springs, and tools. I love them, but they like to break shit.
As much as at pains me to say it, if I even bother with a pistol, it would be a Glock 19 or 17. There are just way too many more of them in the US than any other pistol. |

I'll still use my CZ75s over my Glocks though, because the Glocks have given me far more malfunctions. |

You should be more worried about your rifle breaking considering it's going to be doing most of the actions. |

View Quote That's pretty stinkin' cool. |

Shtf dictates versatility. Compact or micro pistol is the way to go to have concealability when you can't have your rifle.
So my answer is hellcat. |
|
Glock 19, big enough to fight with, small enough to conceal carry.

It'll be a brertta 92 for sure, until I can acquire a desert eagle.
