I'm debating this as well, so I'll be interested in the responses. M5 or M8 are on my list.
I want a GT3, but the dealership basically laughed at me. Need to be a previous customer and even then they said '23 or '24. I don't know if they were just trying to get rid of me. The 718 GT4 is supposed to be a pretty fun car to drive, some even say more fun than the 911. Maybe a GT4 RS. |

MB S580 Cabriolet
why get a third tier sports car when you can have the highest level luxury vehicle for the same money? |
|
I was working with a slightly lower budget and decided on a new Corvette Z06. I was really hoping by now that one could find a Huracan LP580-2 for about $130k... but the market went in the opposite direction..lol. So decided on the Z06.
The market is all kinds of crazy.. pretty much anything in that $150k range is probably going to require paying a hefty markup just because of how the car market is right now. |

Gen V Viper, though frankly you probably missed the boat. Seems like most are north of your budget now.

It's not a sports car but it drives like one, my AMG GLS 63 is a full size 7 seat SUV that comfortably does 0-60 in under 4 seconds. It doesn't have the top speed of a real sports car (only 174mph) but how often do you even get to drive >100mph in the US?

low mileage ferrari F430 Scuderia.
At least that one will appreciate in value. |

Used GT4 and Spyder pricing has become insane in the past half year, from around MSRP to 150%.
You can't get any of the nicer 911s for $150K. I am in line for a new Spyder. I knew they were going all electric, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon. |

I know most are over but I wonder if you could find a c7 zr1 for 150. Last one I saw was 175 but I’m not looking either.

This, from a hard-core euro car fan.
The new z06. That engine is beyond tits. |

Quoted: I asked a similar question 5 years ago. What could I get that was the most fun, best handling, fastest with a manual transmission (a must). My budget was $100,000, about the same as today when you consider the premiums dealers are asking and getting. A new 2017 C7 Zo6 Zo7 was a touch over my budget but well worth it. It is not a daily but now has 96,000 miles, lots of track days and a shit ton of fun times with it. If I could do it over I wouldn't do anything different. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/109231/20181028_132141-1941287.jpg View Quote This is the obvious answer, with pristine condition super low mileage 2017-2019 examples running around $80K now. 650hp/650torque with a 7-speed manual. Say what you want euro car snobs, but these fuckers haul, are stupid fun, and are bullet proof. |

A new GT500 carbon fiber track pack and have some money left over for upgrades unless I got screwed and had to pay a 30k mark up.

Quoted: That was pretty much my budget three years ago, and I got a 911 GTS. (I ended up spending a little more than $150k, but it was close). It is my daily driver. If it were just a weekend car, a GT3 might make more sense. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/PXL_20211203_213554136-2194633.jpg View Quote Is that a Volkswagen? |

To be honest...I would buy 2
2005+ Viper AMG GT-R Those are going to turn more heads and give you more fun that any 911, since all 911 fuckin look like every other boxster and 911 on the road. |

My father-in-law has one and paid almost 160k for it when they first came out. He's lucky to get 75k for it now and it's in pristine condition with under 10k miles. 911 GT3 is the answer. |

or you could big the real big swinging dick at the HOA meetings and get a Ferarri F430 or a California for 150k
DB11 V12s are in that range also...no one knows what they are though, they will think its a souped up Ford Fusion |
|
with a $!50,000 budget I'd buy a M134 mini gun or some MP5s and a Ma Deuce, but enjoy your car
