I am looking at buying a 10mm as my next handgun purchase. Which one should I consider buying?

S&W 1006 (PM me...) steel, easy shooting even underwood loads
Glock 20 - awesome capacity, "snappy" recoil, glock EAA - capacity, steel, cz pattern, eaa though |

I'm waiting for the Grand Power P40 10mm to arrive. This spring or summer?
Have a G20 and 610-2. Variety, the spice of life. |

Sig P-320 in 10mm
A person can dream..... .45 Slide, 10mm barrel...... Just need a magazine solution, and someone to make the barrels, and.....Unicorns and Rainbows..... |

I believe Sig announced a 10mm 227 model, that would be a great choice.

Colt Delta Elite, blued. A couple of us enjoyed the balmy morning weather today (20 deg) to put 7 mags thru mine. I've been slacking on loading so that's all the ammo I had, minus the two ready mags.
The Sig 10mm was on my wish list, but local dealers couldn't get their hands on any. I got tired of waiting and ended up wasting my money paying bills. Had a G20 but sold it because of the unsupported chamber, I saw way too many bulged cases with rounds loaded to decent power levels and figured it was a matter of time before it got all ka-boomy on me. And yes, I know the DE chamber isn't fully supported either, but I have yet to see a case bulge from the two different DE's I've owned. I don't know the quality of the CZ owned and made Dan Wesson Razorbacks, but they were sweet when Bob Serva owned DW. And speaking of Bob Serva, Fusion Firearms has some very nice 10's, but they're a little pricey. Kimber makes 10's as well, but have zero experience with them. My dream pistol, which won't happen, would be an HK45C chambered in 10mm. Easy to fit in the frame, the OAL's for 10mm and .45 ACP are nearly the same and 1.25" - 1.26" works for both. As usual, a few of the GD "experts" says the 10mm is a dead cartridge. Idjits and morans. Expect to see them here soon. |

Oh hell yes, I just shot my polished stainless SAO version today. Slide wouldn't lock back, I think I was riding the slide lock. Other than that it is very accurate and the smoothest shooting 10 I have shot. Even the full power stuff didn't sting at all. It's an experience, I can really feel and see the slide cycling like no other autopistol I have ever shot. Once I get a few hundred more rounds through it I think I might even carry it for bear defense. . Oh, I can also recommend the EAA witness elite match. But I recommend the 220 moar. |

Glock 20 Gen4. I had a Delta first, but the G20 ended up staying around. I use it as a hunting sidearm, and don't feel as bad about beating the Glock up in the field. Plus, its really just a pleasure to shoot.

If you just want 10mm performance on the cheap, then throw a .400 Cor-Bon barrel into a 1911 or Glock 21 for $100. Practice with .45, carry the .400.

A guy here locally is selling a very good condition 1076, asking 1100 for it though. What would be a reasonable price to offer, as I don't really know what they go for. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I don't prefer the 1076 myself, but I ended up with an extra 1006... Keeping the one - it's downright pleasant with full power Underwood 180gr loads. Can't say the same about the G20C! |

I have a Delta Elite, if I had the spare cash to do over again, it would be a Sig P220, if not then a Glock 20 that I would shoot the hell out of and not be too concerned what happened to it.

If the 1076 is lettered as an FBI gun then $1100 might not be bad. 1006 has the longer barrel too. |

Only 1 pic, it shows the serial # but nothing that says fbi. |
