I think the first... but... GO.

There’s only one diehard, and it’s the best Christmas movie ever created. The other ones are merely after credit spoofs to remind you that you need to go back and rewatch the original, for 87,000th time.

this is an unpopular opinion, but I like the one where Sam is a nerd, but not as much as the first...lol

The one which has a P7 is the best Die Hard because of the P7.

The first is the only one....
Who the F asks this question???? |

One and three are the only ones that exist to me. John McTiernan is the only director to direct this series. He and Willis are out of commission we will likely only get shitty reboots.

One was awesome.
Two was pretty weak. I never watched any others after that. |
|
1 & 3 were my favorites, didn’t care for the rest except I enjoyed the ending of 2 when he lit the fuel on fire.
kind of reminded me of Smokey and the Bandit when Jerry Reed runs over the motorcycles outside the bar. Poetic Justice |

The prequal. Yes Die Hard is a sequal.
The Detective (1968) - Theatrical Trailer |
|
the first one is the only one that matters, the 3rd is ok but didn't really need to be a diehard movie

There is Die Hard (with Hans Gruber), and there are some crappy movies with (sort of) the same John McClaine character.
|
|
I like 1 and 2 equally.
Two has more interesting supporting characters. Trudeau, the engineer guy, John Amos, the reporter who looks like Maury Povich, etc. |
|
The original is a great movie. The second is ok. Really went downhill after that but I don’t think I have seen all the sequels all the way through.

Dumb question. While Die Hard 2 is a fun action flick, it pales in comparison to the masterpiece that is Die Hard.

I like the one where he's a assigned to a river patrol boat.
|
|
The first one is obviously the best.
That said, I thoroughly enjoy #4. |
|
The whole premise of the 2nd one... that the planes would run out of gas soon. There like 20 airports within 50 miles of Dulles, LOL

3 for me. I remember literally laughing out loud when John’s placard was revealed.

Poetic Justice View Quote But it's still not as crazy as the Resident Evil series (and others). Anyway, if you're gonna make a film about a "die hard" normal (cop) guy then please strive to make it quasi-realistic regarding the laws of physics, fuel pump flow rates, etc. There's so much they could do with completely plausible/realistic scenarios, but they don't. lol But yeah it did look cool. |

The first is the best. 2 was better as a book. 3 came out while I was going through Nuke Power Prototype in Goose Creek. Loved seeing them jump off the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston. I hated driving over that bridge.....
