Quoted: A lack of imagination does not constitute a valid argument. Picture this scenario. You're being pursued by two groups. Globohomos in one, and Communists in the other. Their endless, mindless legions have you nearly cornered. You've expended all 171 rounds with which you started the day, and claimed 171 GloboCommieHomo kills. You are out of ammunition. But Lo! You come across the body of a police officer. He has a Pride tattoo on his neck, so you don't feel bad salvaging his gear. You see 3 9mm Glock baseplates on his belt. You thank the deity of your choice for your good fortune! You grasp them and attempt to reload your trusty G17. But, then with a sinking feeling, you realize it's a 19 mag. The joy slides from your face as quickly as that perfectly good magazine slides out of your pistol. Useless as teats on a boar. The last thing you hear as your intestines are being eaten by the homosexual cannibals? "Shoulda run a nineteeeeeeee..." Fade to black. I'm between the 17/ 19 grip unfortunately. I shoot the 17 and 26 very well. Although the 19 seemed to fit me like a glove, the grip was just a hair short and I didn't shoot it nearly as well.
I laughed at the 45... Until I handled it. It balances perfectly for me. The grip could be an 1/8" or 1/4" shorter for my hands. But, the balance and flare do make up a bit. So, here I am. |

Quoted: Ohhh bro the G19 is more concealable bro. Eh, I have no problem concealing a G17. Plus I like the slightly larger grip. No way bro G19 is perfection but check it out there is a G45 bro so now I have a full size grip. I mean if you're going to do that just get a G17, the grip is the hardest to conceal anyways. No way bro I'm gonna stipple it and put a comp on there. Dude if you're going to put a comp on it, just get the G17C they've been making it for years. I'M NOT GOING TO BUY A G17! I'M JUST GOING TO THROW MONEY UNTIL I CAN CREATE A G17 View Quote ![]() You're correct sir! eta: I'm a G-19 guy. Grip length affects concealment more than barrel length. That doesn't your point. |

Why on earth would you chop a G17 into a G19 what is your endgame Listen, that extra 3/4" is very important for my ability to accurately aim w/ irons. That's why I put a red dot on it and then put the rear sight in front of it so now I have 34 length slide (after the comp) and a 26 sight radius. Lol. |

I can conceal a G17-length grip without too much trouble, but when sitting down or bending over the G19-length slide pokes into me less than a G17-length slide. For strong-side IWB carry then yeah, a G45 doesn't make sense over a G17. |

Used to carry my G21 in the winter and years ago either a G27 or my G23, never had a real issue with various size pistols. Have a G19, G43 and a G45, all are decent CCW guns but my EDC has been my SIG 320 Xcarry for the last two years.
Always liked my Glocks, I’ve owned several in the last 25 years and appreciate the universality of the G19 but I’ve never carried the G19. |

Admit it Whiskers...you're jealous of the G19 because your fingers are too fat!
