Looks like the Australian Army has a new gun, the P320.
https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2022/10/03/australian-army-selects-sig-sauer-p320-xcarry-pro-replace-browning-hipower/ The only gun any military in the world cares about. |
I hope that we get a flood of surplus Hipower pistols here in the states.
But when you drop a gun in australia it falls up instead of hitting the floor which dramatically reduces NDs

The Sig320 is the covid Vax of handguns. The XD of our decade. Complete cringe POS

I might be in the minority but man that thing looks bad. Blocks on blocks on blocks.

That'll come in handy next time when they'll start shooting the unvaxed in ditches.

My 320 has functioned fine, but damn, it's gonna take a lot of rounds to get it to where I can shoot it true. I can't stop dragging it to 7 o'clock low.

Australians are not what we call gun slingers, guess they like the manual safety for the troops.
Or like the US contract they underbid glock. |

Replacing the hi power? Holy shit they've been using an outdated piece.
I'm still meh on our m18s. I'm qualifying again tomorrow morning. Maybe I'll warm up to them eventually?

Are SIG's pistol lights any good? I've seen absolutely nothing on them. I'm sure SIG gave them a deal for using all of their components.

they probably give the things away. A glock 17 with decent sights is all regular joe unit needs. |

Looks like they picked a better version than ours did. X-Frame and actual dovetailed irons. Good choice AU.

Sig essentially took a loss on every M17/M18 with the price of their contract. |
The australian mil is bad at guns.
I'm not sure if going from BHPs to 320s means they got less bad, or more bad. |
My plastic p320rx compact is okay, feels cheaper than my gen 3 g19.
My 4.7 axg though.... that thing is awesome. |
