Spinoff thread.
You are you, driving down a deserted road 30 miles from your house. Nobody around. You come across a single car accident, happened within the last hour. . Driver is dead. Trunk is ripped open and bundles of cocaine are falling out (just so you 100% know it’s shady shit) along with a big duffel bag full of cash. Would you? |
Well yea.
Find the tracking device hidden in the cash, go out in a secluded spot and set up a shooting gallery. |
Nope, I don't need the stress of worrying about it the rest of my life.
You guys can have it. |
Fuck yeah I would
then find tracking device and place it along with the bag and a small amount of cash in my bosses house squirrel money away and live like the grey man that I am |
It would create more problems than it would resolve. Unless you know how to live that kind of life...
I’d look around and say,”not today, PSB, not today.”
Then I’d sadly hang my head and start typing a “found property” report. Attached File |
I keep a faraday cage in the back of my pickup for this very reason.
I'd tell my wife she is offically retired, as i put her on the bus and sent her to see her mom.
Lol you think I have hard plates and carbines in my car for trick-or-treating?
No, the cartel will execute innocent people if they find the money missing. Doesn't matter if the executed had any relations to the guy that found the money.
Don't think I can live with that guilt. |

first off, I'd get rid of the fucking tracking device and the case/box the money was in......fuck the coke, let the next guy driving down the road worry what to do with that, that shit's poison.

YES, I damn sure would. But I wouldn't go back later to bring anyone agua.
I would imagine dumping the entire load of money in a 50gal oil drum of water would pretty much kill the tracking device....

I’d take the tracking device and put it in Omar the Minnesota terrorists home.

A guy Iknow in Mexico saw some cartel guys stashing money in a grave.
He watched it for a few days and went down there late one night and pulled that suitcase out and made it across the border with well over a million USD. They're still looking for him. |
A more interesting question is if it were $10m in coke only.

I would call LE and back off, pretty sure you are entitled to a certain percentage of “found” money. May not ever see it, or it may be a while, but a helluva lot safer.
You would have to lay low and move far away for sure. Wouldn’t touch the cash for a while.
Why does this car have both the money and the blow? Somebody was playing a fast one. Take both back to the cartel and ask no reward.

Look through cash, take half or 65 percent that seems clean/no tracking. Bury it a couple hundred yards away. Set fire to vehicle after dumping remaining cash around open bag. Make sure it burns it all, hot fire. Wait 7-10 years, go back and dig up to see if still there. Take some, but bury the rest a couple miles away. Turn that some amount in to police to see if anyone claims it. If not, you may get to keep that amount, then spend a little, see if anyone shows up asking questions. If not. Wait another 7-10 years. Dig up the rest. Retire.
Sounds good, right? Reality is, no one can sit on that much money for that long, especially if they never had that much before in their life. |

Are we close to the Mustang Ranch? Because a lot of cash and coke would be.....errr, never mind.
