No, the cartel will execute innocent people if they find the money missing. Doesn't matter if the executed had any relations to the guy that found the money. Don't think I can live with that guilt. View Quote |

Take 2-3 million, tear not cut the bag open on the sharpest piece of metal on the wreck, preferably with alittle paint transfer. Dump the remainder of the cash out and let the wind take it. Leave.

So would I risk being skinned alive with a dull knife for $10 million? Gonna pass on that.

I believe I could buy some Secret Service level protection with that

I'd turn over the $9,000,000 to local law enforcement. That $7,000,000 is evidence of a crime and should be treated as such. I'm sure that the federal government would put the $4,000,000 to good use in advancing our successful efforts in The War on Drugs. I wouldn't feel right keeping that $1,000,000 knowing it was probably blood money. They'd probably give me an award for for turning in that $500, might even get my picture in the paper right behind the article about the torched car they found on a deserted highway that appeared to be a drug mule.

Yep.
And then I'd meticulously go through that entire damn bag as fast as I could to look for tracking devices, before I took shit home. Then I'd gray man that motherfucker. Wouldn't put it in a bank. Wouldn't quit my job. Wouldn't change anything about my life. Just stash it for a few years. |

I would imagine dumping the entire load of money in a 50gal oil drum of water would pretty much kill the tracking device.... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Can you get trackers that small or is it just made up bullshit.
It would have to be phone sized with a decent battery to give off gps to be any use. |

Yes but I would quickly change bags. I’ve seen how that movie ends.

Southwest people- What’s the deal with these convoys? Are they simple used car carvans? An elaborate front for smuggling cash? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

No, I am not a thief. Regardless of who's money it is or how it was made.
I tend to be an pretty nice guy, but call me a thief, and I can become a real monster. One of only a few things that sets me off... like a nuke. |

First question, did I touch anything before finding the dead guy and money, if not, its found money. Maybe consider burning the coke too, as a public service.

I was just down in Matamoros this week and got to hear all of precautions that the employees have to take just to make it to work on a normal day. I got to see signs of the destruction that occurred right out in the open during the day where the rival gangs were marking their territory.
Take their actual cash or product? No fuckin' way. |

View Quote 1. I'm not responsible for what actions the Cartel takes. That's on them-no guilt for me. Don't go back with a jug of agua though. 2. I am removing a small amount of their resources that they would use to do that. Who knows the way I spend money some of that 10 mil might even end up back in the hands of the people the Cartel took it from originally. I wish deserted roads thirty miles from my home actually existed. |

Quoted: You people give them too much credit. They're a bunch of third world hillbillies, not some all knowing gods. Keep your yap shut, tell absolutely nobody and enjoy a big pile of walking around money for the rest of your days. Just don't do anything really stupid like trying to put it in a bank or some other traceable accounts because I'd be more afraid of the IRS than the cartels. Living with the possibility of being found wouldn't be worth having the money to buy more expensive things that I don't need.

No. The cartel would find out you have it, hunt you down and cut you up into tiny pieces and feed you to the fish. Just laundering it to avoid detection would be a nightmare. I'd rather die of old age thank you.
