The last knife I bought was October 2022 and am still waiting on it. I use to buy Busse only but now it's Carothers.

Not this exact knife/scales but should be close

That's beautiful. What model is that? Looks like a couple of pig stickers I  have ( Bark River and a TOPS).

It's been a while since I bought my A4 Colt, but this is the last knife/bayonet I bought. I'm glad I did it seems OKC is out of business.
I recently bought a hatchet, but it's not a knife.

The Launch 13 is great so far.  The tip is pig sticker sharp and I've jabbed myself once or twice.  The handle is skeletonized and can't even tell it's in my pocket.  The auto function is fast and hard.  It's shaving sharp and I love it so far.  All 3 weeks of ownership .

Lost the first so got another.  My favorite just-right EDC pocket knife.
Solid without being heavy, holds a good edge, and cheap enough that i don't feel bad actually using it.
Before this it was a Leek with a deep clip for years.

That reminds me a lot of a Fallkniven F1.  I would be interested to see how it compares and would be worth adding such a similar blade to my collection since I already have two Fallkniven F1s.

Never heard of Demko before...  I am now interested in trying their Armiger 4.25...  Not such a high price tag as the Mangnacut.

@thederrick

It's more in the size range of the Fallkniven S1 with bigger blade like the 5" Cold Steel SRK. The rubber isn’t as hard as Fallkniven, but seems okay so far.

Demko has some Cold Steel collaborations and some pretty innovative folding knife locking mechanisms.

I just want to see how Magnacut performs...

@Abbysdaddy04, let me know how that holds up. I've heard great things about the Civvi brand of WE Knives and those look like a good value. I met some of the reps from WE Knives and despite them being Chinese and from China, they are through and through knife enthusiasts...it just sucks they live under a communist government (kind of like us)

I sure will. I’m fairly impressed by it. Probably going to buy the Mrs one or the Civivi Elementum for variety.

Civivi makes a great lineup of knives.
They used to be $25-$40 range, but they seem to have jumped the product line up to the $40-$90 range.
I think there's a lot of just as good knives, for less money.

I've carried a Civivi Backlash for a few years, still a very good knife.

They run batches, usually only 2 or maybe 3 different models per year IIRC. if you're wanting a prior model, this is probably your best bet:

https://www.bladeforums.com/forums/carothers-performance-knives-for-sale.967/

And they are fantastic knives with what could well be the best heat treats in the industry (according to people who know much more than me about that sort of thing).

I've never been a "knife guy". I tend to not take great care of my knives and they get worn and lost then I buy more. When I locate the lost ones they get thrown into my knife bag. I ran across it recently and I have way more knives than I thought

This year, I finally updated to nice kitchen knives from my cheapo chef's knife.

Then, I decided for once I was going to have a nice knife, so I ordered a Microtech Dirac. It came in today

@Red_Label
I have both the original and the RAO II; they're monster folders (which I love!).

Not quite new, but the above scalpel folder reminded me of the Ti Rant razor blade folder. Expensive, but if you fly frequently without checked luggage, this is simply awesome. Remove the razor blade when you fly, when you land just hit a small hardware store and pick up a five pack for you stay; gift them to someone when you depart.  Always have a folder with you when you need to travel through less permissive or restrictive environments.
