I had zero interest in 80% ARs, Glocks, or 1911s. with all this crap in the news telling me I can't, I want more than ever to do it!

anyone do an 80% polymer 1911 lower? that would be cool.

When I was a kid, I always wanted to make a .22lr zip gun that looked as much like a regular ballpoint pen as possible.  I never did though

I'll play:

Self-ejecting single-shot, convertible to .50 BMG as long as you're good friends w/ a chiropractor.  Haven't built the pistol version yet, but the fun thing about that is there's no modification of the trigger jig.

My son in law and I occasionally go to home Depot and see who can build the nicest gun for a set budget.

The Yooper Assault Rifle (blackpowder percussion under-hammer from hardware store components:

I love the hook & eye trigger, the screen door spring, screw-eye rear sight, hose clamp band and grease fitting as a nipple.

Challenge?  hardly.

The premise that it would even be difficult is the mental illness that the left suffers from.  3D guns are a threat!!!  yah.

When my kids were small I took an old M14 stock, five feet of duct tape, and a piece of metal pipe, and made a toy gun for them. The muzzle was big enough to fit a golf ball, and my middle son called it his “Sixty-Eight-Five”.

We launched all sizes of fireworks out of it on holidays, from bottle rockets to the giant ones.

I love the whole premise behind this design.  Although I don't think I could turn it into a buyback program after taking the time to manufacture it.

Better yet, got to Joerg Sprave's YT channel and learn how to build serious slingshots and...other things.

Want a slingshot that can launch a bowling ball? Joerg has done it.

There are bolts up from the bottom and I believe they are tapped into the bottom of the pipe. I have a friend that has one but I won’t be able to see it for a few days.

Prolly “slung shot”. A monkey fisy knot over a weight w a little tether.  Used by sailors to throw ropes up the mast...or to deal with troubles in port.  A quant improvised weapon

If I'm not mistaken, it's the same company that is supposed to be making the SS80 kits that Glockstore is still waiting on (something about BATF letter being delayed?).

Better yet learn how to use a sling.

The 'whipping' action puts a lot more velocity on the projectile.

Just a strip of leather with a 'pouch' near the middle.

Or a small pouch (leather or cloth) and some cord.

Look for a 'throwing sling' and there are tons of examples.
