That cinches it for me. I would never carry a type of weapon that has ever had a malfunction during rough military service.

Back in the late 80's my good friend picked up a Norinco 1911 and I was super jelly. It was very inexpensive but ran like a top. I never did buy a Norinco, but i have 5 other 1911's I enjoy shooting.

1911 bashing only happens online.
I shoot IDPA, IPSC, and Steel Challenge monthly with a 1911. I get nothing but high 5's, even from Glock guys. My guns ALWAYS run flawlessly.....and yes I am ok with cleaning them after every shoot. My Ruger SR1911 went 300 rounds on Saturday with no extra lube/cleaning. Not one malfunction. |
