Luckily I didn't have to ride the 130 miles back to the house.

About as much fun as you can have with your pants on.

I had a first year KTM Duke that didn’t have anywhere near that much power but was still the most fun bike I ever had.

No. Other than its light weight it's too much for a first bike.

Would this be a good choice for a first bike? New rider, never been on a motorcycle.

But it is named “motard”, so it is obviously a learners bike.

If you live near a track or in a state that plates dirtbikes, the SMR450 strikes me as the most fun possible on 2 wheels.

You guys and your light bikes. I have a couple that are double or more Every time I ride my DR650 it feels closer to a bicycle than a motorcycle.

Mine was street legal from the factory. I had it plated in CA for a while. And I used to ride it on the kart track at Infineon raceway out there. Loads of fun.

On the road, by far the most difficult bike to behave on that I've ever owned. You just want to do hooligan shit on them.

This thread is making me miss my last dirt bike. At 60 years old I'm done riding all bikes. My body can't do it anymore, sucks.

One lady who rode Baja with a Husqvarna group had the handle of Husky Chick (or maybe WoodsChick) and rode a 610 SM with fat tires front and rear.  It was low and allowed her to put her feet down.  She struggled but made it.  It ripped pretty good on pavement.

Truth.

I’ve got a garage full of bikes, very fast bikes but the sumo is the bike that’s puts the biggest smile on my face the fastest. Wheelie down the driveway, stoppie at the road. Wheelie thru the gears down the road, another stoppie. Catch a guy on a sport bike on a tight and twisty road, hassle him relentlessly. Ride up a flight of stairs, jump off of a loading dock, drop it from sixth into second and back it into the turn for my neighborhood.

A total blast.
