This seems like a brand new concept that I’ve never seen before. From a Harris campaign add on my TV. Along with the ban on price gouging.

Russia had lots of little shoe box apartments. Along with price control on the sparse amount of goods available to buy. These are some of the basics of communism.

Just another way to spend money we don't have and buy votes with empty words !

I guess she's just going to shit that much more lumber, drywall, bricks, tradesmen, inspectors, etc.

That commercial was actually very well done. Uninformed and stupid voters will fall for it.
|
|
[#10]
We do need more housing and less commercial real estate.
Around here commercial rents for about 1/3rd the cost per sq ft that residential does. |
|
[#11]
Let’s deport 10 million and have second homes and empty rentals instead.

Will be builder shit grade homes /townhouses/ whatever that will be funded from taxpayer money.
- The quality will be fucking laughable - The price per unit will end up being 350% the original stated cost - The amount of units will be 50% the original stated amount - The timeframe will be 3-4 years longer than stated - You will have to qualify to 'buy' the house, which will require you to make less than 28k a year and be on welfare - The recipients of this program will be 95% minorities. - Rent/mortgage 'payments' will come directly from .gov on the 1st of the month directly to whatever group 'owns' and manages the homes - The neighborhood will look like its been there for 35 years within 18 months I saw EXACTLY this happen in the suburbes of Tampa Florida in the early 2000s with 'affordable homes for families' which ended up with entire apartment complexes being built by investment groups and only allowing people on WIC/super low income to live there because the .gov check was direct deposited on the 1st to the management group. The neighborhoods/complexes looked like absolute shit after a year and were literally the center of crime. |

About a million of them (apartments) have been built here in the last 8 months.

Because the government builds houses, dontcha know? They are a market maker, and Kamala is the first to recognize the supply and demand relationships in real estate. What a leader!

Deport the 50-70 million illegals here and that will help with housing and many other issues.

blackrock gonna give sell them to Harris who will give them away?

Why not promise 50 million new homes under $200,000. Just as true. Just as unchecked by the media.
|
|
[#32]
Government will subsidize Blackrock's purchase of thousands of apartment complexes around the US.
Government will hand out subsidies to the poors that will be funneled to Blackrock. Inflation rises... house prices rise... mortgage rates rise... Blackrock buys those houses as well, with government money, to turn them into family rental units. Neighborhoods get enriched by government subsidized foreign renters. We all move to Texas and build a wall around it. Or we can annex Canada. That might be easier. |

Trump should promise the exact same thing word for word and see how quickly it becomes an "existential threat to our democracy and economy."
"He's trying to build concentration camp style ghettos to stick all the undesirables in. Just like the Nazis did with the Jews (that we suddenly care so much about)!!!" |

Vote for me, prices will be low, housing will be abundant, you can have a lavish retirement at 50 and someone else will pay for it all!

LBJ and his 235 homes, two bathes, three bedroom and 5000.00 down. I don't remember the square footage but they were small homes. Took nice neighborhoods and built these houses for low income people. Within a couple of years most of them lost their homes and wrecked the neighborhood.

They need them for the illegals and ndu’s. Thousands were built recently in Nevada and I am sure everywhere else. It is all super nice section 8 housing. Question. Who is paying for all of that? They insert these high density apartments right in the middle of the nicest areas. One day…

View Quote Look any plan that involves making something affordable is code for wealth redistribution. Note ACA. How does a government build 3M homes/rentals? The answer is it doesn’t. So what does she mean? Construction unions are going to get paid. Those of us middle class workers are going to get BOHICA. While likely not directly, we ultimately will see the cost of something go up to offset the money that will be given away OR the money printing machines go WHIRRRRR. Counter this by asking, “Why did homes get so unaffordable during KH’s run as vice-president?” Why? Then tell them that giving away money never fixes a problem, it just creates more economic turmoil somewhere. The housing problem was created by democrats. The job growth seen in the last 3 years has been a large amount in government, not the private sector. Wages have gone up [artificially] and the price of goods have gone up. The rise in wages have not kept pace with inflation. There is so much wrong with the democratic plan. You just have to find a way to make the wrongness relatable. The other question about the price gouging promise. Why is there alleged price gouging now? If grocery stores are price gouging why wasn’t there price gouging 4 years ago? Ask those supporters and come back and report their answers. |

The Democrats' favorite cities will get new projects (i.e., hoods) for their minorities, and then those cities will sell their existing run down projects to their favorite developers, who will build new hot and trendy developments for upper middle class Gen Zs.
