The conversation proved essential as the exact issue arose in a meeting later.

I don't really need reasons to drink good licker, it just helps mask the problem to the outside world using it as an excuse.

Not bad. I got 100 rounds shot and the wife got 50 thru her P238 before the rains came. I had 1 misfeed in the first mag. Only other issue is my spare 3 promags won't hold the slide open on the last round. Both Sig mags and 1 Promag worked correctly.Trigger is nothing like my 1911 guns so will take some work. All in all we had fun. Here is a pic of 2 mag loads.

Never had a single issue with my P365s. I'm calling operator error here.

They break in nicely.

Didn't know promag was making P365 mags. Wonder who else is. I looked maybe a year ago and no one was.

Hmmm. I’d clean/lube really well and try to duplicate the misfeed. Did you limp wrist it? As to the promags, I’ve never used anything other than OEM in polymer guns so not much help there. Mark them and see if it continues to be an issue once you have more rounds through it. Also, install the flat trigger. It really does feel lighter. I shoot 1911s a lot and it helped.

The only issue I’ve had with mine is using 147gr ammo. Not really an issue I guess, but I can see the explosion in the chamber when firing. Doesn’t happen with 124.

I disagree.

I prefer the tactile feel of the flat trigger, but once broken in, the flat and stock trigger feel the same to me in terms of pull.

You may know better then. I only gave the stock trigger 100rds and switched it out. Flat triggers feel better to me in all respects. Never tried one in a 1911 though, seems wrong.

Yes, but the Japanese Kanji is old school Chinese symbols, so it also means "Slice" in Japanese.

It's in the kitchen most of the time since I usually use it to process pheasants, quail, ducks, etc. I like the smaller blades for breasting birds. I made the saya so I can take it with me on hunting trips.

Always happy to share pictures.

Some pieces of leftover 3/8" thick maple. I traced the blade and did a rough router cut of the blade. Then sanded it down to get a proper fit. The picture is before the final sanding. The green marker is when I was trying to decide on the final shape. Wasn't sure if I was going to square it off or rough cut the shape of the blade. Went with the former.

This is after I glued the two halves together and added walnut dowels for added strength and aesthetics. I drilled holes for the retention pin before gluing it together to make sure the pin held the blade where I wanted. The beginning of the calligraphy in pencil. I then used a Milwaukee dremel to carve the kanji.

Final engraving and used a wood burning pen to give the engraving some color.

Used some honey maple poly to bring out the color of the wood. Knives in picture are the Shun Taiyo (gyuto), Takeshi Saji (bunka), and the Busse Slicer

The characters have two meanings (Japanese Kanji and Chinese). Gyuto or "Beef Sword". Bunka or "Culture". Slice is the same for both.

might be a reason for that...

You know the equipment to make the SIg mags was produced by a Wisconsin company?

Makes them automatically superior.
