I hope this doesn't turn into another story about bad customer service from them. Thank you. That’s about how I stand. Love the knife, but that’s bugging me. At $130 del (it was marked down on sale, not posted as a blem) might keep it, especially if I can wrangle a discount on another knife. |

BHQ has offered to refund me or allow me to return the knife for store credit. I pointed out that the knife in question is no longer in stock and I’d likely not be able to acquire the knife at the sale price.
I also pointed out that they sell used knives “AS IS”, so they should give me the same % that they would knock off of a used knife relative to a new knife as a store credit. I doubt they do, but we shall see. |

BHQ...
Your position is not unreasonable at all, I agree with sy, but practically speaking if this is going to be your main user or you will just lose it again anyways, the little mark in the finish won't matter. |

Thanks @me back View Quote The dirty secret about knife retailers is that you have a greater than zero chance to being sold someone’s returned knife that they found defective. BHQ has a great return policy of which many people take advantage. If you have a defective knife then they’ll likely just have you send it back. BHQ as a “big” company is not going to grant you that sort of customer service like a small retailer may. |
