Lol You can tape it or get a trainer. I went through a period where I had convinced myself that they were a good option for a main EDC knife and tried using one for a while. You can certainly do it but a regular folder is much more convenient, especially if you find yourself in confined spaces or odd positions. |

Looks like I'll pass on it if the lock is janky. I was going to get one just so I could take it apart and examine the lock mechanism to try to replicate it for one of my designs. I'm thinking I might like to do an axis style lock on a modern folder if I ever get around to making one. I still have an old axis lock example from the brand that shall not be named so maybe I'll sacrifice it to the reverse engineering gods for the betterment of mankind. I've replicated the geometry on the Triad lock in the Tuff Lite when I was making handles for it. I have that one dialed in, just need to crank out a few sets of handles. ETA: I do not have a $1300 Shiro to reverse engineer |
