Just wondering then why you don't see them more often then. I was going to say remember the .307 and .356 instead of .308 or .358, then I remembered the Savage 99, Win 88 and Browning BLR, but they feed off box or rotary mags. I always loved the Win 88. Knew a few guys that had 88s in .243, .284, and .308.

Killer. This is my first Henry, the last lever gun I had was a Marlin in 444. Absolute ass-stomper of a round and wasn't as much fun to shoot.

I have a few 45lc SAA's but now I feel like I need a 357/38 single action revolver of some flavor.

The first lever gun I ever shot was my uncles 30-30. Don't remember the brand but do remember the brass buttplate and what it did to my 10 year old shoulder.

Not gonna lie, I was on Gun Broker last night looking at lever guns.
So was I. Which transitioned into looking for falling/rolling blocks and eventually led to Springfield trapdoors.

38spl outta this thing had me checking for squibs, it's so light.

After looking at lever guns, I started looking at Staccatos.

Well, that seems like a natural transition

I got the anniversary (1978) B92 unfired for $750 maybe ten years ago or so. Just looked and the only one on gunbroker is listed at $2K.

That's why I went with Henry this time. I was interested in some Winchester's but you had to add another $1K to play that game.

Lever prices just went crazy the past few years. I was always looking for a good used Marlin 35 Rem and was passing them up in the 300's because they were rough. At least double now.

so I ripped that fucker off

I showed him I ripped it off and he starts yelling at me

WHAT DID YOU DO?!? I DIDN'T THINK YOU WOULD REALLY DO IT! THEY DON"T COME OFF UNDER NORMAL USE!!

Well, what the fuck. Don't tell me to do something like that and expect me to not do it.

I stuck the patch back on and have been wearing the hat. hit it with a pressure washer today. Patch is still stuck on there. Kinda impressive really considering I ripped it off and just smacked it back on there.

so, science can be pretty cool.

oh, and my neighbor felt compelled to tell me she is growing mushrooms, so if I see her watering logs in her backyard, she is not crazy, she is just growing mushrooms. we will see how that science works for her.

The new Winchesters are made in the same factory as mine and the same quality, but have the tang safety and the rebounding hammer

I've never checked out one of the higher end Henrys - I have the pump .22 with the octagon barrel and have always been dissatisfied with the crappy metal receiver cover and some other stuff feels kind of cheap, but it is overall a great and very fun rifle.

Jack Booted Thug. I don't have something against the police. I have something against this officer pulling me out of my car when they have observed no offences, treating me like a criminal for no reason, wasting my time, threatening me with jail, and being a condescending prick. The other lawyer has this correct - you're way off. It was unconstitutional to start with and he was an asshole about it to boot.

There's surprisingly not much difference in recoil between the 357 and 38spl in a 20" barrel, but you can certainly hear the difference on steel. 38spl through this thing is so light, I could see shooting way too many rounds on a nice afternoon.

I've replicated the geometry on the Triad lock in the Tuff Lite when I was making handles for it. I have that one dialed in, just need to crank out a few sets of handles.
