As I said in many other threads, I still wish the phones were as small as the old minis, though, even smaller.. or at least shorter. Then the marketers took control and pushed for increased screen height so they could push the diagonal screen size number higher in their bullet points. Reminds me of the drive toward smaller and smaller bedrooms and 2-car garages in the housing market, since the price was less impacts by the practical use of the space as much as being able to say x number bedrooms or "2-car" garage. |

For some weird reason I have lost a lot of my contacts. It happened, coincidentally when I got my Ultra Apple Watch. No idea if it is related.

Quoted: Well since @right_rudder is here, maybe this won't be shouting into the void If I'm on my iPad (11" Pro 2nd gen) and I load up a video from a website, then I screen mirror to my Apple TV 4K, the video shows up on the screen in (what I assume is) the same resolution/aspect ratio as my iPad screen. I get black bars on the sides of the image on the TV and the video stays playing on the iPad and TV. It also tends to look more pixelated, like it's a lower bitrate stream. If I go to the same website on my iPhone (15 Pro) and screen mirror to the Apple TV 4K, it displays in what appears to be the correct resolution/aspect ration for my TV, and is much clearer. The iPhone also doesn't continue to play the video, it goes to a black screen with some text on it (I forget what it says) and I can lock the screen and set the phone down and it will keep playing the video on my TV. Do I just need a newer iPad or is this one of those differences between iOS and iPadOS? View Quote @Maverick52 |

I want my iPhone to be able to recharge my AirPods wirelessly.
I want Siri to support macros - I say good night to her and she takes care of Apple Home, then hits Apple Weather for the forecast, then Apple Music for crickets and frogs to sleep by. Loads of stuff with the Vision Pro but I would like my phone and watch to "cut through" the environment and be visible. At least when I flip my wrist over or pick up the phone. I want my iPhone to have a lightening capture ability. The camera would record photos continuously looking for increased values in the lighting separating the lighting strikes automatically. |

Is it the entire ecosystem that's reactivating it? She has a Mac Pro, IPad Pro, Macbook Pro and the iPhone 15PM, so anything seems possible. View Quote It is. Quoted: I have never used any focus besides the do not disturb at night. View Quote That's what started my nightmare. I used the original Do Not Disturb feature and that was great. Then along the way that got folded into 'Focus' and that also got the 'share among devices' setting turned on. Now I never changed or adjusted anything. Just had my do not disturb hours set for something like 11PM to 5AM on my phone. Somewhere along the line that got jacked up and all my devices started being in that mode all day long. So now I missed Teams messages, calls, emails and meeting reminders on all my devices. No indication of 'why' anything was happening. After a reboot it would stop and then start again at some point during the day. Just the little moon icon and that took a long while to figure out because all my notification settings were on so it was was a bit unclear why my alerts were all silent, just didn't happen. I didn't notice the moon for a while and had to look up what that was. Called support and they could not answer it either because the schedule was correctly set. But if it was turned on at all, the phone (and iPad) were always in Do Not Disturb and would propagate that to other systems. Finally had to turn it off completely everywhere or it would just creep right back onto my laptops. 'Shared' or not. Maybe something got dorked up along the way through all the upgrades but that really sucked for a while. Got my ass chewed out several times for not answering important calls during the day. I really need the reminders because my I'm not great at noticing the time if I'm really absorbed in a process to fix or configure something. I get sucked in and don't end up checking the time very often. |

2. In Carplay, or generally, a toggle so the phone DOESN’T automatically switch and restart playing the last thing you were listening to, when an alert or other other audio tries to play. 3. Make the "opening the lid or even breathing on a random key boots a turned-off Mac Book Pro" feature, a preference. There's a perfectly good Touch power key in the upper right- maybe I want the damn machine to stay off until I hit it.
Also related- a real "phone is locked and not accepting touches" setting (short of powering it down) until I hit a physical side button, so I can put my phone in my pocket and it won't put me in "change my background/start recording video/drain my battery with the flashlight/start World War III" because it thought it saw a "gesture". |
